My little girl Lucy has always been very happy to sleep with it in place – the mesh side ensures she doesn’t feel enclosed and can still see what's going on in her bedroom. You do need to ensure that you have the strap set to the right length to affix the weight properly to the opposite side of the bed base, or it tends to wobble about a bit. The design provides a barrier along the exposed edge of the mattress with gaps at either end so that the child can safely get in and out of bed independently.

Above all TOTALLY relatable with a few (possibly not very good) tips and hacks to try out along the way if you're that desperate. The length of mattress will vary according to bedframe with king/super king mattresses being longer than others.
