About this deal

But after a long day of scaring, Alan likes nothing better than to run a warm mud bath and take out his false teeth, which nobody knows about! I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic! I am a children's dentist and read this book to young children when I undertake oral health promotion visits.

Yourself and Bob are much cherished in our booky world and I personally really appreciate everything that you do. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. But after a long day of scaring, Alan likes nothing better than to enjoy the crossword, run a warm mud bath, and take out his teeth, which nobody else knows are false. This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally).

I have even talked the head into a little revamp of the library so that we can display them properly! They are made more wide eyed and reactive after Alan, who comes from a long line of scary alligators, has finished ‘…polishing his scales, sharpening his nails and brushing each of his big, scary teeth’ ready to begin his morning scaring….

It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything. All the children love hearing this story, the story is very funny and the pictures and vivid and colourful. A jungly jaunt that’s sure to bring Alan-sized smiles to the faces of listeners (not to mention the occasional adult reader aloud) and I love those vibrant, energetic scenes and some of the small details are real giggle-inducers. This is a good title for primary collections and collections that need strong, artistic storytelling on their shelves. It’s true that they keep things in the jungle running exactly as Alan’s always wanted them, with everyone doing as he bids. The reformation of a bully is a familiar story, but Alan's version is nicely told, and the eventual outcome is especially enjoyable. Like the best picture books, it is a pleasingly simple story, set in a faraway place, with a lot to say to young readers. You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot!

But after a long day of scaring, Alan likes nothing better than to run a warm mud bath and take out his false teeth, which nobody knows about! Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first.

The witty Jarvis (“Lazy Dave”) makes all the right moves, drawing Alan’s jungle world with his usual loose, jagged charm.
