I am still very new at doing these types of measurements so I am no authority on on this subject, but please let me know if things don’t look right or you see anything that I could do to improve for next time.

The light slips in and out of the plastic piece easily, with just two silicone loops on each end of the light. Maximum beam distance 165 meters, waterproof to IP68 (2 meter submersible) and resistant to impacts up to 2 meters.Overall, the UI only utilizes 4 different types of presses making up a combination of 2 different positions (full and half press), and 2 different durations (long and short). The Nitecore HC65 V2 is a rechargeable LED head torch offering triple light sources that include a main white LED output as well as an auxiliary white light and a red light output. The Nitecore HC65 V2 headlamp has a maximum output of 1750 lumens from the Luminus SST-40-W LED and is powered by 1 x 18650 8A li-ion battery (included). The Nitecore NVG Helmet Mount is designed to turn your Nitecore HC60 or HC65 (V1 or V2) headlamp into the HC60M or HC65M, allowing you to attach it to a helmet. The secondary reading light has a slightly warmer tint than the Nichia 219B, I think that some of the secondary light bounced of the ‘red’ LED but is actually more yellow when not on, and I think there is a shade of yellow in the beam shot.Of course this is a headlamp, and so the primary means of carrying this light will be the headstrap. Nitecore HC65 V2 has a memory function and has only one button to manage: 5 primary levels with white light, 2 special levels (Beacon and SOS), 3 auxiliary red light levels and an auxiliary white light (High CRI ≥ 90). The main light has a number of brightness settings and the beam is more than sufficient to light the trail ahead. HC65 V2 has, like the previous one, an auxiliary red light (for hunting or tactical lighting), as well as a secondary high color rendering LED recommended in particular for reading in poor visibility conditions.

High started at 962 lumens and slowly declined in output to 872 lumens at 10 minutes when it dropped rapidly till it reached about 550 lumens, and slowly increased to about 570 lumens. This head torch is enhanced with different LED lights and light modes, making it perfect for use in different situations.

You might confuse the product name with the Nitecore HC60 v2 we reviewed earlier, but this is a different kind of flashlight.

The main white light LED, in the center of the optical system, is a Luminus SST-40-W with a maximum light output of 1750 lumens for an intensity of 7000 cd. More on the switch later, but for now note that the tailcap is threaded on to the body (head and tail in fact) with small triangular threads, which are well lubed. The actual lamp assembly feels as if it is going to be heavy to wear, but once you've got the head straps adjusted correctly, it is quite comfortable for everyday use. At around 20 minutes it settled at roughly 620-630 lumens and ran till it dropped again at the 2 hours and 5 minutes mark, to roughly 40 lumens.Woodlore also sells the PowerPax battery holder for these which glow in the dark so you can find your spares at night. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. Nitecore says that it doesn’t work with flat tops, but I tried a flat top Sanyo cell, and it works just fine. With a suitable rechargeable battery inserted, it can be charged inside the torch via the upgraded USB-C charging port. Nitecore HC65 V2 is compact and allows a well-lit walk together with excellent autonomy, it is a flashlight with front lighting system suitable for many uses such as runnung, caving, camping, rescue, climbing and mountaineering.
