I can’t imagine doing this now with the new editions, and I can only suggest you take the Rough Guide to Vietnam.This is a pretty good guidebook with good maps, information on many sights, background information, but some weaknesses in information on transportation. Lonely Planet’s Vietnam is your most up-to-date advice on what to see and skip, and what hidden discoveries await you. It listed the nightclub Apocalypse Now (which can possibly be the most famous nightclub in all of Vietnam) in Hanoi when it really is in Saigon. Throw in a good transport infrastructure of buses, trains and flights and an abundance of cheap but excellent street food and it's no surprise Vietnam graces countless bucket lists.

For example, the 10,000d note and the 200,000d note are both tan while the 20,000d and 500,000d notes are both blue. Kayak around towering limestone peaks into grottoes and lagoons in Halong Bay; wander the warren-like lanes of Hoi An's Old Town; and sample the freshest, tastiest local specialties (and learn to cook them yourself).I stopped reading it once I saw that because I couldn't believe anything else listed in this guidebook.
