About this deal

Deceptively simple to listen to, but the more you listen, the more you realise that this is a mature work.

In the second half of the piece, however (around 1:50), Einaudi instills a little mystery by adding a B flat to the key signature while taking out the D sharp (characteristics of D minor). When Notte from Ludovico Einaudi’s album “Stanze” was broadcast on BBC Radio 3’s Mixing It last year it elicited the greatest listener response in the programme’s ten-year history. Every time the italic chapters come back, you see a different change of light on what's happening on the shore.

Not normally into listening to piano tracks, more of a violin person but heard this on classic fm and had to get it immediately. Its main theme follows an A-B-A structure, with the A section featuring an octatonic scale while the B section slowly builds up to a more dramatic point. It was one of the first works where Einaudi used electronics to produce a different sound than his classic piano-based production. The twelve ballads contained in this edition can either be played individually or in various combinations grouped around the two main titles Le onde and Questa notte.I was really intrigued by the form of the novel, which is very complex and interesting because some parts are written in italics and others in normal text. The open plan living accommodation has a high spec kitchen with granite worktops and a full range of quality integrated appliances.

This, along with its use in a wide range of films, television series, and video games, has further contributed to its continued success and its place as a classic for solo piano. However, if you would like to, you can change your settings at any time using the Change cookie settings link in the Special menu. One feels that if Einaudi were to get that level of cinematic exposure he could be similarly successful. In 1996 he achieved his breakthrough with "Le Onde" and, with a little delay, even found his way into the British pop charts in 1998.When you want to relax and unwind enjoy listening to music on the Bose sound system, play a DVD, or watch catch-up TV. It takes as its inspiration the Virginia Woolf novel The Waves and the undulating, hypnotic melody evokes images of the rhythms and patterns of the ocean. Echoes of Glass’s Metamorphosis piano series run through Tracce, for example, but Einaudi is more lyrical. If your already familiar with his other work and like it then this won't disappoint, if however your not then this is a very good place to start.
