About this deal

The key to good neutral bass with the K701/Q701/K702/K712 is good cushion seal, so make sure you have this adjusted before starting a listening session. But the best feature (IMO, purists may hate it) aside from the dancing VU meters is the loudness switch. Designed for music professionals the K812 empower to experience the smallest sonic details with the most accurate balance for mixing, mastering as well as music production. The headphone also doesn’t move much when it’s on your head, even as I sit here trying to get it to move and looking completely silly in the process.

There’s a very authentic dimensionality to the sound here, without ever the feeling of things sounding artificial. The headband is really comfy with it's quick adjustment without much thought put into it, and the leather band takes away all parts where hair can get stuck into and pulled out. If you purchase our extended warranty for this product, we'll extend the money-back guarantee period to 180 days and the warranty period to 10 years.

Overall though, I'd still give it 5 stars since the comfort and quality issues can be modded around, while the sound itself is really good. Taken from an already smooth and lean low even via just my DX50 and ALO International for example, to one of the smoothest low-end experiences with plenty of quantity that I’ve heard in years with the Burson. There’s this ever so slight notion that the 712 is maybe a tad veiled at times; as if there’s an incredibly thin sheet over the sound (like the one you sleep with).

It’s lightweight and nimble enough to where you’re rarely feeling it on the top of your dome piece either. Despite the MA900 not having excellent pinpoint accuracy and less clarity all across the board vs the K712 PRO, it still remains, in my opinion, the best all-purpose headphone ever produced. The strings on the sides that stretch to fit your head, while convenient, are going to become weaker along the years, which will affect comfort. As you will see, I confirm the approximate accuracy of the measurements using Equalization and listening tests.

They combine the comfort of an over-the-ear design and the benefits of closed-back technology for best possible sound reproduction. You should get an instant answer on whether your application has been successful, though in some rare cases Klarna or V12 may need to look at the application in more detail. Certainly not as aired out or separated as the previous models before it, however, the K712 PRO seems to produce exceptionally smooth and buttery bass along with the majority of the midrange.

The pads are plush velour filled with memory foam, they do not cause hot spots or get sweaty for me and conform as expected. Being hand-crafted in Austria, the K712 PROs represent the high quality and legendary design AKG is known for. AKG will be releasing the K812 very soon and I am certainly willing to fight someone over a pit of acid and spikes just to be among the first to hear or review it. When I really want to turn the AKGs from studio hardware to fun machines blasting Neil Pearth and some Billy Jean, I just flip the loudness switch and I get the best bass and dynamics I've ever heard from a headphone. In fact for a while they will be my last pair of headphones for probably anouther 5 years or so and I'll probably stay out of this industry once again after I get my new DAC/AMP from JDS labs.

But, the measurements and actual usage of the headphone is regarded as slightly warm, exaggerated and proven so by the measurements. Popular elements like the self-adjusting headband and single XLR connector make a welcome reappearance with this model, even if you’re left pining for a folding mechanism. Both great songs to test vocal performance, texture in the vocals are brought about immaculately, including the breath of the vocalists on the mic. Audiophiles in general I feel seriously hurt this industry and that is why many never get attached to it.

Their rich sonic performance, wide spacious soundstage, and luxurious wearing comfort guarantee a truly-special listening experience.Upon first listen, I expected this headphone to be a clone of the K-701 with some minor tweaks but was pleasantly surprised when that midrange and the low end seemed more powerful and tonally balanced together. Going back to other headphones after a few days of listening, I kept thinking on wanting to come back to these because of it. It also isn’t the tightest-sounding signature around, but it still excels marvelously for the most part. K15 high-performance on-ear headphones evolved over decades of experience in the field of conferencing and set new standards. I have a Sennheiser HD600 and i tried my friends 560s, and i liked them a lot, the better instument separation and soundstage were great.
