Description

In "Yon is a Weird Cat," J-kun, while finishing his manga on a tight deadline one night, imagines that Yon transforms into various beings, including a slug, the supernatural snake-like creature tsuchinoko, and an elderly man.

King Yon" chronicles Yon's further unsuccessful attempt to escape, his unusual strength, and his position as dominant cat within the household. He does it to look like a horror comic, as if this is how he can't help but see the world, but in fact he falls in love with kitties, aw. Before Uzumaki, Ito was best known for Tomie, a comic series about a beautiful, teasing and eternally youthful high school girl who inspires her stricken admirers to murder each other in fits of jealous rage. Apart from the ghastly, convincingly-drawn deaths, the book projects an effective atmosphere of creeping fear as the town's inhabitants become less and less human, and more and more bizarre things begin to happen. But slowly the cats start to exert their charm on J-kun who becomes obsessed with winning them over - bombarding them with tasty treats, taunting them with fluffy, cat wands - determined to rank first in their affections. It received generally positive reviews from critics, who enjoyed it as a cat-centered manga whose humor was derived from the emphasis on the behavior of the cat caretaker, rather than the cat.

In "The Events of One Late Night," J-kun tries to bribe the cats to sleep on his bed, rather than A-ko's, to no avail.to eventually accepting their presence in his life to the extent that he is jealous of their relationship with his wife. J-kun (Ito) and his fiancé A-ko (Ito’s later wife Ayako Ishiguro) have just moved in together, their new house is pristine and sparkling. Style [ edit ] J-kun attempts to play with the cats, to no avail; his mouth becomes more horrific as he fails to capture their interest. A Textbook in Support of Feline Disaster Victims (2011), a book which was intended to raise support for cat shelters after the Great Tohoku Earthquake. But he soon finds himself lured in by the cuteness and wants the cat to love him as much as it does his wife.

I found myself smiling or laughing more than I was wincing and cringing at the horror or scare tactics. it's a pretty adorable, and very accurate account of the monsters that inhabit those little scraps of fur we spend all day feeding and catering to.
