About this deal

I still wasn’t getting it so they mentioned that the random arrangement of those filters within each set of 36 receptors means the sensor wasn’t in need of an anti-aliasing filter (yawn) and less moire.

This is great, but as you're waiting for the camera to time and "process" a dark-frame subtraction for noise reduction, there's no "processing" countdown on the finder. There is no ‘correct’ exposure – a much discussed topic, Google it and I expect you will have a good read. I recommend using the shutter speed dial for exposure compensation, or the AEL Lock button in the configuration as shown above. There is another issue, one that has nothing to do with EVFs in general, but with Fujifilm’s specific settings for the viewfinder. The X-E2 excels for black-and-white shooting because of its extraordinary sharpness and freedom from distortion, and I love shooting in its optional square format just like my Mamiya 6 or Hasselblad. While the screen size and resolution are not very important to me, it is still something nice to have when looking at images.

Fantastic ergonomics optimized for people who know how to shoot; a perfect shooter's camera with the right knobs in the right places. In addition to the bigger and higher-resolution 3 inch LCD monitor on the back, which offers 100% scene coverage and 1. With its focal-plane shutter, the X-E2 has a very adaptable top shutter-speed limit of 1/4000th second in all shooting modes. Hi Romanas, I own an X-T1 and don’t seem to have the same issue with the EVF/LCD function you described “You can’t set it up the DSLR-way, you can’t use the EVF to compose and shoot, and the LCD for menus and image review only. Now you can hold the AF-L button to lock focus while taking pictures, while the AE-L button will allow you to lock the exposure separately.

I still found myself reaching for the DSLR when it came time to shoot for work, but maybe with time, that would change too, because its form factor and throwback looks deceive you into thinking it’s just for fun and not proper value. These three cameras have a lot more in common than you might think, but the X-E2 incorporates the best of both in one mid sized body. There's usually no Program shift available most ways that you can set the camera, but that's not a problem, since all you need to do is flick the aperture or shutter dial instead. To change the camera to Shutter Priority, you simply rotate the large top dial to the desired shutter speed, while moving the lens aperture ring to the red “A” (Auto). I don't use this on other cameras, but the X-E2's blinking highlight option works just fine instead.
