My family and friends make fun of me for my Beyonce super fandom because I'm not the super fan type. The book also analyses Beyoncé's role as a mother to young daughter Blue Ivy and explores the hidden heartbreaks of her past, including a tragic miscarriage, a lengthy battle with depression and an agonising rift with her manager father Mathew. While this book is entertaining (and reads like a gossip column), I am skeptical of the "sources" the author builds his story on.

This captivating Little Golden Book biography celebrates Beyoncé’s rise from a shy little girl to a world-famous superstar.Messages of self-empowerment and inner strength define her wardrobe as much as they electrify her songs. But what was very interesting for me was just simply to read about a family ( The Knowles)that defined its family's success around the achievements of their Elder daughter. The longtime struggle between her and Mathew and how everything kind of blew up toward the end was particularly interesting and a strong undercurrent in the book (and also really explains the song 'Daddy Lessons' on Lemonade). Since 1945, Ebony magazine has shined a spotlight on the worlds of Black people in America and worldwide, telling their stories.

When she is not tapping away at her tablet, she enjoys gaming with her husband, fantasy romance novels, tending to her plants, and ice in all of her drinks. The 52nd Grammy Awards brought Beyonce Knowles ten nominations for I Am… Sasha Fierce, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
