The Angostura house is located on a 20-acre complex, in the heart of the Caribbean, off the coast of Venezuela, on the island of Trinidad, so renowned for the joie de vivre and sense of celebration of its inhabitants.

It has a history like no other rum – a captivating tale of one family’s obsession that grew into a fine art and captured the spirit of Trinidad and Tobago for generations – up to today. Angostura ® 7 year-old rum is a blend of light, medium and heavy rums distilled in Angostura’s continuous still to different intensities before each being matured in hand-selected Bourbon Oak casks for a minimum of seven years.

This añejo Rum made from a blend of light and heavy molasses-based rums aged for a minimum of 8 years in charred American oak bourbon barrels. Coopering is a centuries’ old tradition in which wooden barrels, preferably oak, are prepared by trained craftsmen to be filled with alcohol and other liquids and allowed to age for a period of time.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

The name 1919 is also a tribute to a bit of Trinidadian rum history – following a catastrophic fire at its government rum bond in 1932, hundreds of rather charred casks of the Fernandes family blended rum that had been filled in 1919 were salvaged from the ashes, resulting in an unrepeatable batch that is reported to have been exquisite!Whether it be business or pleasure, our elegant reception and meeting spaces provide the ideal ambience for any occasion, small or large, and will ensure that your event stands out. Dieser Rum ist am besten in einem etwas größerem Glas aufgehoben, welches sich dann jedoch nach oben deutlich verjüngt. One of our responsibilities is to ensure we do not sell age-restricted products online to people who are under the minimum legal age. The General Wine Company sources wines from all over the world, but with a particular focus on small, independent producers. Wer es deutlich günstiger und tendenziell einen ähnlichen Geschmack haben möchte kann den Anniversatio probieren, nur sollte er bei weitem nicht diese hier gebotene Komplexität und den unerreichten langen, warmen Abgang erwarten. Named for the year it was casked, Angostura 1919® is a light golden rum aged in charred, used bourbon oak casks and distilled in Angostura’s multi-column continuous still. This blend combines rums aged between five and 14 years and pays homage to a historic blend developed by the Fernandes family in the 1800s.
