Whilst you can use it without serum or moisturiser underneath – I have trialled it both with and without, it was perfectly fine either way – in this cold weather, I do still layer a little (but less than usual) cream underneath, just for a little added protection from the cold. I use this regularly and whilst it isn’t enough coverage for the area on my chin that’s currently being difficult with a couple of stubborn spots, it’s great at evening out my skin tone, doesn’t show up my pores, minimizes my spot scars and I find that I can apply this and add a bit of powder foundation in the areas that are prone to shine and my chin and I’m good to go.

I was also looking for a lighter shade as I’ve finally had to say goodbye to the last of my summer glow. Love the fact that it accommodates dry skins beautifully, but more coverage wouldn’t have hurt, although it looks really good on you. For people who want to keep quite a natural look or those of you who are just easing into the world of beauty products (and I know it is a massive and quite daunting world at first) I would highly recommend this. Hi Miss Stylicious, thanks for your comment 🙂 I do need to use powder foundation on my spots, but the coverage is buildable enough to cover everything else like uneven skintone, redness and whilst it doesn’t fully cover acne scars, it dulls them down enough so I don’t bother putting anything else over the top.
