About this deal

It's our longest show to date, so whether you dip in and out or listen in one sitting, we're sure you'll agree that this one will warm the cockles.

The ships, vehicles and creatures were packed full of play value and the Geonosis Arena playset was one of the best in the company’s history. And Thorsten Greth pops in to discuss German Power of the Force three-packs and the recent addition of an amazing wild find to his collection. Join Stu, Jez, Dan and Craig as they discuss how their modern collecting tastes have developed over the past year, and find out what items from these current releases may (or may not) find a home on their shelves. The Death Star doesn’t unfold quite as neatly or as easily as the Rebel Base, with some of the platforms needing to be secured in place. So join us as we set the the scene, with this short episode to kick-off 31 days of shows, unboxings and social posts that will explore the best and worst of the movie and its legacy.

I was never big on the missile firing features on Micro Machines stuff but this one is kind of interesting. Both of these figures are reused sculpts from the army-building figure packs, but the paint jobs actually look a bit sharper.

Join Craig for a look at just how movie accurate the accessories given to vintage Star Wars figures really were. Bruce has a truly wonderful Princess Leia collection, from carded figures and proofs to some fascinating beyond the toys merchandise. Join Jez, as he interviews lifelong fan and collector Paul Jason who has recently managed to get himself an incredible find of vintage Star Wars toys. It was a great event, but you don’t have to just take our word for it as we have Mark Baker, Richard and Seth, Chris Lawrence, Dan Adey, Nick Dykes, Adam Pemberton, Phil Parker, Lee Gregory and Michael Havens all giving their views on the show too.Welcome to the first of a planned trilogy of Those Old Fossils specials, where we celebrate Palitoy and the Star Wars products they released in 1978 and 1979. And then there's the vintage collector everyone thinks of when you say 'Princess Leia' – Bruce White. Collectors will want to purchase these in person since some of the models will experience warping due to the vinyl plastic. Craig also drops in to tell us all about the early Palitoy items that went beyond the toys and covers the advertising and point-of-sale materials the company deployed to sell us those wonderful toys.
