Biography: Swain had played for Chelsea and won the league championship and European Cup with Aston Villa before joining Pompey in 1983. He added he has nurtured many of the current England players through the system to provide the core of the squad. Press photos have been available to the public for just a few years, and similar to baseball cards, they have attracted investors and collectors.

Swain began his professional career with Londoners Chelsea, signing from Wycombe Wanderers in the summer of 1973. Kenny was obviously an excellent footballer, but perhaps more importantly he was a modest, funny nice guy.
