About this deal

To be honest I was worried with the set-up because Jamie, for all intents and purposes, is straight.

I needed something to read today, I was still stick so I wasn't in for reading something new where I had to focus, so I decided to re-read this one. Despite that, I was happy and satisfied with where this book ended, so I don't feel the need to continue with 'Us'. I need to start by saying I've never enjoyed a M/M book before and actually bought this one by accident not knowing it was M/M. When Wesley turns up to coach alongside Jamie for one more hot summer at camp, Jamie has a few things to discover about his old friend…and a big one to learn about himself.

I thought it would feel weird reading about two males, all hot and heavy, but it turns out it was quite hot.

So really, if this book had incorporated all of that better then it would have been pretty much perfect. I liked Jamie's character in particular - he was so forgiving and laid back, and I admired his vulnerability and willingness to put himself out there. It is not a story about the struggles of being gay, about coming out to the world or one’s battle with their own sexuality—the focus of the story remains on the irrevocable bond and the sexual attraction between these two men, and the courage it takes to put love first.

I preferred the narration of Jacob Morgan for his sexy, understated performance, but both guys did a PHENOMENAL job. Now, with their college teams set to face off at the national championship, he’ll finally get a chance to apologize. Wes gets a second chance to make things right with his former best friend when their college teams set to face off at the national championship. Wes was also an excellent character, how he loved Jamie but was willing to let him go because he thought he was corrupting him. Along with the sweet love story, this book was hot, the way these two want each other is incredible and their need for each other all the time is almost as hot as the actual sex. When it comes down to West actually telling Jaime any of that, or making any kind of gesture to give Jaime the impression that he truly cares?
