About this deal

I did find this book a little hard to get into at first with the writing style, but once I did I loved it! Jules and Jason must work quickly trying to find out where and what happened to Jason’s sister while Jason is being framed for various crimes. There were chapters with different point of views but it felt more like descriptions rather than being in that person’s head. It's a nickname I haven't heard since I lived on Woodbury Lane, where the houses were pretty, but the secrets?

This book immediately drew me in and kept me on the edge the entire time with the suspense and twisting of the story. I love romantic suspense novels and this one was the perfect blend of romance and the suspense plot woven through.Escaping Conviction is the first book EVER by Greer and is also the first book in the Conviction Series.

A sucker for reality TV, New Girl, and scary movies in the daytime, Greer admits to being a messy eater, ruiner of shirts, and does NOT share food or wine. We’re both hiding secrets, but when the mafia world collides with the MC world, the shrapnel could destroy everyone around us. Except living with her wealthy uncle, his fashion-empire-owning wife, and their seven screwed-up sons is quickly turning into a nightmare - especially when certain inappropriate feelings arise. Also, I'll be reflecting on couple tag-lines for awhile after this book, on ways to affirm communication. Former MF7 Operative Jason Stone is back in town and he can’t stop thinking about the woman he left behind: Jules Bellerose. We can't forget about the chills, nausea, and anger I experienced with poor Ellie, Sasha and fellow victims/survivors.

This title shows what life is like on the job, what to expect in terms of compensation, training requirements and places to go for more information. The pace is fast, the plot believable and the characters come across as very alive in their humanity. Performing in Shakespeare to musical theater, comedy juggling, and magic, to narrating audiobooks, he is especially adept at character voices and accents. But when her past collides with her present, it gets harder to believe that Jason is “just a client. Alright so let me start off by saying if you suffer from any type of mental illness including anxiety, please don’t read this until you’re in a good mind frame. That in itself isn’t a problem but it absolutely doesnt make the reader feel like he’s a caring and concerned/despairing brother who is trying to find his trafficked sister. She thought she could steal from me and get away with it, but I have no intention of letting her get away at all. When he kidnaps me thinking I’m the daughter of his enemy, the only thing I can do is pretend to be something I’m not. It's more of a story about racing against the clock to find the MC's sister with a little bit of romance mixed in.

I may be a silly little girl to him, but he's intent on protecting, possessing, and claiming me in every way—his little piece of purity. And so when he asks me to escort his soon-to-be bride home, I can only—miserably, broken-heartedly–say yes. Second chance romance isn't usually my thing but Jason won me over, no lies 🥰 this book was super suspenseful and stressed me out but it had me crying for fictional characters I didn't even think I liked.

I'm glad I happened upon such a talented, promising author, and I look forward to reading the next book.
