The upload speeds on Cox are so slow that this mesh had no trouble delivering the full speed in every test location. But it provides tri-band access, with two 5 Ghz streams, which - given the X50s can reach each other with the 5 Ghz bandwidth - I'm sure means the X68 would provide a reliable wireless backhaul, at least for the one out of three nodes that isn't hardwired.

You can also trigger the Deco X68 to look for a better Wi-Fi channel in the HomeShield tab if you're getting congestion slowdown. It's a confusing catch-all page for various security and performance features, including device prioritization and changing the Wi-Fi broadcast channel.TP-Link reckons a set of two nodes will cover up to 5,500 square feet, which is plenty for most houses. It covered my room at the end of the flat and was wondering if i need the second unit working, used it anyway!
