We found the foil shaver attachment took a while to get the job done – you do need a few repeat passes to get a completely smooth pate – but couldn’t fault its ability to power through hair for an all-over crop and the shortest guard delivers perfect Jason Statham-style scalp stubble. Otherwise, it does pretty much the same things, except this one focuses on the face and hair, with a foil shaver attachment included so you can shave too.

The only negative is that the manual is pretty sparse - for example it doesn’t tell that if you remove the blades for cleaning you won’t be able to get them back on if the cutting height on the main body is at the lowest setting.
