The earlier two Walsh sister novels didn't really have stand-out plots, but to be fair, they didn't need stand-out plots. These themes are especially prominent in the novels she has written about the Walsh sisters from Dublin: Watermelon, about Claire Walsh's desertion by her husband on the day she gives birth to their daughter; and her best book, the powerful, painful Rachel's Holiday, about Rachel Walsh's drug overdose and stint at the Cloisters, an Irish rehab centre. Beautifully and stylishly designed by a modern artist, they are not only stories you'll keep coming back to but also books whose looks will never go out of fashion . Please ensure that your seat is in the upright position, that you weigh less than a hundred pounds, and that you have excellent teeth. This is an oldie but goodie I had in my shelves that I came across when I was waiting for a library book to come in.

We then follow them, Emily trying to get a script accepted, and Maggie trying to get her head together by sleeping around with a male friend of Emily’s – a self confessed tart that she falls for then gets annoyed when he doesn’t ring, and Emily’s gay friend Lara. I usually love Marian Keyes' books, but found this one very slow going and easy to lose interest in. This question is even more interesting because the reader really begins to care about Maggie, especially as she slowly reveals the blows that have brought her marriage to its knees. This book almost does something very interesting for chick lit: the main character, an Irish woman whose marriage is coming apart, comes to L.The thing about Marian Keyes books is that you get so involved that you wake up wanting to read another chapter as if it is a part of YOUR day that is unfolding! The book was supposed to tell a love story, but it's more of a side story, even if there are always flashbacks.

Maggie always opts for the safer side of live but finding out her husband is having an affair and losing her job changes everything. From the bestselling author Marian Keyes, the hilariously heartbreaking Angels follows the tale of the fabulous and uplifting Walsh sister, Maggie .But the only one who that's true of in Angels is Emily, and her subplot isn't taken all that seriously or handled all that well. But sooner or later, Maggie must face the life - and the people - she left behind, and discover whether finding herself, means losing the people she loves . Ha cumplido su cometido, entretenerme sin muchas más expectativas que una lectura ligera y rápida en la que el final me ha parecido un poco apresurado y sin demasiado desarrollo en comparación con el resto del libro. In Angels, Keyes moves from her usual venues - suburban and boomtown Dublin - to Los Angeles and the film industry. The main reason I hated it was for the meaning behind it(that i got at least) It implied that for women to succeed and be successful in life they MUST get married.
