About this deal

This controller even has 4 trigger buttons on the back of it and its yellow arrow camera buttons are designed to mimic the N64’s as well. You can connect the Switch Pro controller to PC with or without a wire, so it stands to reason I'll be able to use this new N64 controller on PC too, right? Nintendo have always been good at making hardware and software which feel as if they're working hand in glove (except for the Nintendo Power Glove). Nintendo only makes them in small batches which are frequently sold out, and won’t even sell them to you if you’re not currently subscribed to Switch Online. It is compatible with both the original Nintendo 64 console, but can also be used with Windows PC, macOS, and the Raspberry Pi, making it the perfect choice for those looking for a solid N64 controller to use for emulation.

Because it is made for the Switch, the screenshot button, home button, pairing button and the ZR button (which also serves as the - button) can be found on the controller. The best thing about the controller was that it seemed perfectly designed for the games released on the N64 console. On top of all that, it can also be used on a PC by plugging it into a USB port, which opens up the options for the controller even further still. In fact, now that both Sony and Microsoft are bringing at least some of their exclusives to PC, I’d argue it’s the perfect one-two punch for the gaming market.

For many years, I have tried finding a perfect N64 controller for PC purposes for Aki game ROM hacks and nothing has fit the bill.Remember that your PC won't explicitly recognize the controller as a Nintendo 64 one but merely as a generic gamepad. This controller features a much slimmer, more compact nature and if you look closely, the analogue stick closely resembles the original too!
