About this deal

Rich and wholesome in flavour, there is no added sugar or salt and Biona don’t use palm fat or emulsifiers. This recipe is well-documented – it takes longer than I would have anticipated, and it’s interesting to watch the mixture go through various “states of matter” on its way from nuts to powder to butter.

You can use it on pretty much any nut and feel free to mix in some seeds to, like I have done in my suggested recipe. My husband asked for it to be our ice cream topper for dessert (not the healthiest way to use it but it was very delicious haha).Anyone else have a pantry problem with little containers of different almonds and cashews or varying ages?

We usually mix nuts with seeds as a way to keep the bulk cost down, seeds are much cheaper than nuts in our part of the world. The spices and maple syrup will react with the nut butter making it slightly less creamy which is why you don’t want to stir it around too much. My modifications were to roast the almonds and toward the end of the processing I added about 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips (It’s Christmas). It only takes a couple minutes, start on the highest setting, use the tamper the ENTIRE time its running and if the pitcher gets too warm to the touch at the base shut it down and start again. Do you know of any basic, food processors that are not too expensive that work really well in grinding nuts into nut butter? Happy to find this Since the food boxes often give generous quantities of walnuts, hazelnuts almonds as well as dates.

I had one question: I wanted to make almond butter, and somehow I was distracted and started to blend the nuts without roasting them. You could also heat the spices in a little fat (like avocado oil), and then blend them into the nut butter to get it finer / creamier. You should also note that the picture images show only our serving suggestions of how to prepare your food - all table accessories and additional items and/or ingredients pictured with the product you are purchasing are not included.Spread the almonds across a large, rimmed baking sheet and toast the almonds for 10 minutes, stirring halfway. Please always read the labels, warnings, and directions provided with the product before using or consuming a product. The exact timing depends on the specific types of nuts, how long you’ve had them, and the strength of your food processor.

Allow the nuts and seeds to cool a little, cool enough to touch, and then add them to a food processor with an s-blade.on Q2) Yeh I know it might be intense, but I’m trying to really load up the flax instead of the flax granola I’m being asked to eat for a diet routine. I would like to note that I don’t think it’s true that adding a bit of liquid disrupts the creamy texture. If sprouted, nuts won't need as long to roast and benefit from a 5-8 minute roast at a lower temperature (325 F or 162 C). It takes around 10-12 minutes before it’s completely smooth and creamy in our machine but it can take up to 20 minutes in others.
