Tracks A,B and C are for melodic/chords tracks and all have GATE/CV and MOD control voltage outputs for modular gear (monophonic) using MIDI, you can get up to 8 notes per step. You can then move from pattern to pattern and have it drop in at the end of the current pattern, bar, beat or step.

So if you play something and want to have it set to the grid you have to go back and edit every steps one by one to set the offset to 0.I find the interface a little inscrutable and while I looked into it a little when it came out it seemed to be a bit buggy so I put it out of mind.

I had a blue monotron die randomly sat in a drawer having been only powered on a few times, i do wonder if this tendency they have to shrink products makes them a little more prone to electronics issues. THE TIME PERIOD OF THIS DELAY IS CURRENTLY UNKNOWN BUT WE ARE WORKING WITH COURIER SERVICES TO RESUME NORMAL SERVICE.The percussion track has 16 sub‑tracks that all share the same number of steps and tempo/timing of the master track, but you can program them independently for 16 channels of percussive sound over MIDI or eight over CV. The dealer has been great, but Korg haven’t really taken their share of the burden on this one, still a fanboy, but it’s no Elektron experience just yet. I don't know wether the gate duration is recorded as note-on command in MIDI but the gate outputs will only send triggers. Melody tracks and patterns can be edited in several modes (GATE, PITCH and MODULATION) so you can alter the information sent by your sequencer on each of these steps in many interesting ways. Korg have included a number of playback and performance functions in the SQ-64 to keep things randomly interesting.
