About this deal

I enjoyed all the thought and detail that was put into this book and as I said, the sweet moments Ama and Elliot did have together were very touching and almost made up for all of it.

I thought Ama and Elliot had great chemistry in the flashback scenes, it was a bit harder to see in the present day ones. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. But the offer comes with a catch: the couple has already hired a florist, her ex-lover Elliott, whom she broke up with two years ago.

Also I love donuts as much as the rest of you but the amount of times the word donut is used in this book is not normal.I had a really great and the best time reading this book with you and obsessing over Elliot—his grumpiness and his tattoos. It's an easy, no-frills read for those seeking a straightforward love story without too much complexity. I mean, the first time Elliot appears on the page, I was HOOKED, and all he did was say Ama’s name over the phone. It read like a fun, heartfelt, romantic movie (think Bride Wars, 27 Dresses, that kinda thing) and I read it in two sittings. Ama is a wedding planner taking on her first big client and they insist they use Elliot as their florist.

She was funny and like-able, she loves donuts and her cat is a menace—honestly all the ingredients you need for a fantastic FMC, for me anyway. When you have a mother that has been married 15+ times, I can imagine that wouldn't put the best picture of marriage in a child's head. i wanted to know why they broke up because their tension and chemistry in present day was super palpable. I read it so fast, and I might actually go back to the beginning and start over because it’s SO GOOD! But with a mother who has been married more times than you can count on your fingers, Ama has decided that marriage is not the route for her.

I literally fell in love with our grumpy hero, who might be a cinnamon bun hiding behind a rough facade. They never had the same views on the marriages and thats what led to their downfall and it broke my heart to see Elliot crying because he just wanted something more from Ama and she couldn't give it to him. She forms connections with people easily especially her clients which she was made to believe by her mentor, is unprofessional in her field of work.
