Publication dates are subject to change (although this is an extremely uncommon occurrence overall). I gave this to my 6 year old daughter for Christmas and we have read a couple of pages most nights, finishing today. Packed with stories about boys who aren’t afraid to cry and rhymes about girls who refuse to kiss frogs, this collection shakes up dusty, old-fashioned (and, to be honest, rather sexist) bedtime stories and totally reinvents them for the 21st century. They would also only drop off a case of books and leave us to run it – it was so lovely to have you on hand to chat to the children and recommend them books, as well as the small (but appreciated! Here we have Sleeping Brainy, Mouldysocks and the Three Bears, Jack and the Baked Beanstalk……you probably get the picture.

In hardback format the book is an impressive heavyweight tome and one to cherish for future generations. Hotjar sets this cookie to know whether a user is included in the data sampling defined by the site's pageview limit. And would you like to laugh your socks off at those stories and the clever, colourful pictures that go with them? There was just the right amount of choice to suit everyone without being overwhelming and I received comments from parents and staff about the quality of books offered compared to previous sales which have always been based around current crazes and well known celebrity authors. I have even talked the head into a little revamp of the library so that we can display them properly! To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Meet Trumplestiltskin , a vain and gold-obsessed little man who will stop at nothing to become richer and richer. year old loves story, 4 year old daughter not so much as she is a full on princess and prefares me reading Barbie. You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot!

If you're worried that your children experience a lack of female role models in the worlds of science, politics, the arts, history, sport and technology, worry no more!I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic! There is no debate offered by power hungry Trumplestiltskin who condemns the King and his daughter Marla to the tower to spin gold, unless they reveal his real name.

At school he was voted 'least likely to become Prime Minister' and he's on course for this to be the case. Great book for parents to read to a Primary school age child, especially if they already know the stories that it’s based on. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. As ever Rikin Parekh’s pictures play up the ridicule, humour and imagination, as we’ve come to enjoy with his illustrations as in This Book Has Alpacas and Bears. Fearless Fairy Tales has hints of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and other clever revisiting of traditional tales. When the latest trend to shoot peas comes around, Zareen is desperate fo show her new treasure to ‘ all her friends‘.

This time she has left the illustrations to Rikin Parekh, who has done an excellent job of matching her style to the prose. A hilarious and anarchic collection of classic bedtime stories for young readers, all utterly updated for a new generation. There's Sleeping Brainy , the princess whose only dream is to become Chancellor of the Exchequer, and the Gingerbread Kid , who escapes persecution in his home country but struggles to fit in in his new one.Packed with stories about boys who aren't afraid to cry and rhymes about girls who refuse to kiss frogs, FEARLESS FAIRY TALES shakes up dusty, old-fashioned (and, to be honest, rather sexist) bedtime stories and totally reinvents them for the twenty-first century. You won't forget the lingering stench of Mouldysocks - a boy obsessed with staring at his iPad but rather less obsessed with personal hygiene - and you'll be rooting for Rap-Unzel when she gets the chance of fame by appearing on Kingdom's Got Talent, but at what cost?
