Most of the pages and panels are bathed in this eerie blood red, sanguineous glow befitting its subject matter. I really loved the first volume, but the second half of this 12-issue series seemed a bit all over the place in a way that was a bit hard to keep straight. I like the focus on green arrow and the bat family, and while I didn’t LOVE the ending, I thought it was still fairly well done.

Also, the twist on who the Vampire King is wasn’t very satisfying at all and the explanation they give for how that character hid being a vampire from our heroes when they were seen in sunlight earlier was just pathetic.Picking up a short time after events of Volume 1, the human race is in shambles after vampires have taken over the world. I loved how it felt like they were going to leave you on a cliffhanger, like "Who is the vampire king? Nesse segundo a qualidade da trama continua, tem toda a brutalidade e morte, traços excelentes e colorização absurda de boa. John Constantine doesn’t seem fazed at the fact that Zatanna is now a vampire and is simply content to have a friend listen to him gripe. Meanwhile, Mera was last seen dragging her villainous husband down to the depths of the ocean, opening up the possibility that she survived as well.

By the end of the "fight", Bruce only landed a single hit by using holy water when she was about to turn him and can barely stand on his own. Readers will surely want to keep on reading to find out if the remaining heroes will find a way to save the world from vampires but the shock factor from the countless twists doesn’t quite have as strong a bite as you’d expect this time around. Either way, Green Arrow’s suicide mission suddenly doesn’t seem as self-destructive as originally thought. It's paced quickly enough that there's little tedium, but there's also little to invest in characters written as archetypes. It’s the heroes of the DC Universe against the undead in an epic fight for the very survival of the human race!

The last shot is of Supergirl shooting through the sky, blowing away the clouds to reveal sunlight for the first time. is a solid and fun chapter into the DC universe vampire apocalypse as desperate heroes set out on disparate missions to save the world from a bloodthirsty fallout. It's him combining an outwardly confident attitude with a sincere sense of vulnerability and doubt that makes it lean into this trope. Combat Pragmatist: Batman uses the fact that the vampires either can’t or aren’t willing to go all-out (be it because it’ll blow their cover or because they’re pulling their punches against their friends) for all it’s worth, like tricking Cyborg into a trap or hiding from Green Lantern who isn't battle ready to sucker punch with his Kryptonite Factor. I was surprised by the ending just because I thought this series was over but it looks like DC will try and milk it further in the future.Andrew Bennett uncovers a vampire conspiracy to take over the world and rushes to the Hall of Justice to tell the superheroes about it, but Hal Jordan reveals himself to be a vampire and kills him before he can do so, but not before he's sent a letter explaining the situation to Batman. Vampires depicts the epic fight placing the heroes of the DC Universe against the undead for the very survival of the human race!
