The tapered nose really helps it to cut through flat water nicely and we found it particularly enjoyable to use on calm water lakes. That said, the inflation tube attachment is standard, so if you prefer a manual pump or know you'll be somewhere where power isn't available, you could inflate it that way. These traction pads are fairly standard on high-quality paddleboards but it still has to get the job done. This further enhances its stability making it more fun in moving water and easier to paddle for those that are beginners. Though you potentially could engage in some iSUP yoga if you were skilled, this probably would not be your first choice of boards if that was solely your goal.
