Naturally this brings with it some anxiety, particularly given how much this coffee table actually costs (more on that in a moment).

One thing I wasn’t able to test was how more advanced board games, such as Ticket to Ride or Pandemic (which are both en route in the coming months) will play on the giant touchscreen, and what they’ll cost.For generations, board games have brought people together through the shared experiences of learning, strategy, patience, consideration, teamwork, and straightforward fun. The software and interfaces are early in the process, in many cases just placeholders, but the Crystal Bay game in particular seemed like a great example of what hardware like this can do. However, none of these features have been implemented yet, and the optional batteries aren’t expected to be available until sometime in September.
