About this deal

Designed for GIS and survey professionals, the Bad Elf Flex and Flex Mini connect to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth and provide high-accuracy location data to ANY and ALL field data collection apps in your workflow. My iPhone4 managed 3hrs constant use running MotionX GPS with the Bad Elf GPS attached and pulling in map data over 3G. For those iOS owners with a non-GPS equipped device who are looking to add GPS, Bad Elf's dongle works perfectly. This app does not support our mapping-grade receivers: Bad Elf GPS Pro, GPS Pro+, Surveyor, and GPS for Lightning dongle. Non-personalized content and ads are influenced by things like the content you’re currently viewing and your location (ad serving is based on general location).

I now believe that GPS-based anchor alarm is dependent on logic to reject certain wrong fixes while alarming immediately on good fixes showing you adrift. Please don't regard him as an "expert"; he's getting quite old and thinks that "fadiddling fumble-putz" is a more accurate description.Going up series of hairpin bends on a road, the other trackers would be absolutely bang on within the limits of the recording frequency; the Bad Elf was all over the place, even going in circles in some places. But instead, I'm going to pay hundreds of dollars to rent a real GNSS device, because there's no way I'm rolling the dice on another Bad Elf product. The Bad Elf Flex is a high performance GNSS receiver with fully unlocked RTK engine capabilities and access to the Atlas L-Band correction service. When I updated the Bad Elf app yesterday I not only discovered that it can now flip log data over to many of the mapping and charting apps on my pad but that the logger itself got a firmware update (again one-button-easy to install) that includes log filtering and the ability to bump the refresh rate up to 10 times a second.

ELF WARNING: Consumption of too much Winter’s Ale may be bad for your elf and may impair your ability to drive a sleigh or operate toy-making machinery. I know what my choice would be, but obviously it’s a trade off of simplicity (and possible connectivity) versus GPS high performance and logging capabilities. I don’t know when it will happen but it could be a neat feature (if marine apps learn to take in 0183 over BT the way they do over WiFi).You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.

If you own an iPhone 2G, iPod Touch or an iPad Wi-Fi only then you'll already know that GPS is not available to you and you can't use any navigation applications. Wer einen GPS Logger sucht, der genau diese Attribute erfüllen soll, kommt an diesem Gerät nicht vorbei. Seems to be simple to use and has a lot of features to assist in setting up local rtk as well as checklist workflow for everything. Then it'll correct itself, but usually over-correct, so that if it was 50 meters to the left it will now be 70 meters to the right of the actual track followed. I have read the review of the Bad Elf iOS GPS dongle and it looks like what I need to be able to use CamerAlert on my iPad. Again, another far cheaper GPS tracker carried in my pocket and compared afterwards showed much more consistent readings. Finally, below is a screen showing the same track area as seen when I opened it to Google Earth on the iPad. Today I also asked Bad Elf about Android support, but I wasn’t very optimistic as iOS does Bluetooth differently and the Dual xGPS has a physical switch to go from iOS to other operating systems.
