Ben is an actor and an established puppeteer who has toured the UK and internationally with a variety of shows. His credits include: His forte has always been visual and physical theatre with a strong understanding of the technical aspects as well. He specialised more in mime and practiced as well as taught the skill in various schools and colleges in the late seventies. I think we read it together about three or four times and then Little Guy decided to read it to Gramma. The illustrations of each action are colorful, perfectly suited and allowed him to easily tell the story as well. In 1980 Roman was invited to join Polka Theatre in Wimbledon as an actor and in ’81 as the associate director and has proudly been involved with the theatre for over 42 years helping to direct/produce more than 90 plays at Polka aimed for our younger audiences - both for the Main Stage and the Adventure Theatre. Over the years, Roman has worked with many leading writers: Bryony Lavery, Mike Kenny, Brendan Murray, Lynne Read Banks, Charles Way, Phillip Pullman to name a few. The style of work has varied from directing straight forward drama plays through to musicals via pure puppet shows. His productions have taken him around the world with performances in Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong, Qatar, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Turkey and USA as well as the UK We need to end the role of industrial meat in deforestation and climate change, and challenge companies to drop forest destroyers from their supply chains and replace meat and dairy products with plant-based options that don’t cost the earth. Tour Dates The performance at 5pm on 19th December is a SEN performance with smaller audience numbers (limited at 50% capacity) and unreserved seating, so you’re free to sit wherever you like. Noise levels will be reduced and the house lights will remain partially on throughout. You’re free to enter and exit the auditorium if you need to during the performance, and a quiet space will be available outside of the auditorium.
