Typical Range: tested while riding with a full battery, 75 kg (165 lbs) load, 25°C (77°F), at the speed of 24.9 mph (40 km/h) on average on pavement. Transformers: Legacy action figures are more than just kids’ toys. They’re exciting collectibles for fans of all ages! All twelve points of articulation in this mode are still nice and tight. No parts are falling off my copy of this figure so I'd say the tooling is holding up, at least for this release. Like all Earthrise toys, Megatron comes with an exclusive piece of a clip-and-save of a larger star map, along with a translucent red decoder. Megatron's piece of the map, aptly, is the labeled location of " CYBERTRON". His fusion cannon can plug into the short barrel of the tank turret or the rifle/Titan Master vehicle weapon. In an undocumented additional feature, the rifle can be inserted into the front end of the fusion cannon. The fusion cannon can be mounted on his forearm or held by any figure with 5mm hands. It also has a peg hole that an accessory such as his rifle can plug into, with extra square peg holes specifically to hold the rifle in place. The tank cannon on his turret, while held in very hard by a pair of ridges and a 5mm post, can also be removed; it can be pegged in by its 5mm post barrel onto a peghole in Megatron's shoulder to recreate G1 Megatron's classic shoulder barrel.

Combat Megatron", a Generations Selects add-on to Siege, is a redeco and new head retool of the above Voyager Class mold in the arctic camouflage deco of the unreleased Generation 2 Combat Hero figure. The figure's new head is based on Megatron's initial "miner" appearance in IDW Publishing's Megatron Origin, drawing most heavily on Marcelo Matere's covers for the series. (Coincidentally or not, the last Megatron toy based on the same unreleased deco also used tooling based on IDW Megatron's mining days.) Utahraptor, maybe in an alternate timeline I'm being less of a jerk right now, but that's just rampant speculation, okay?"

Generation 2 was ended after about two and a half years, with several new products trapped in development limbo. A handful saw release in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand (namely the Power Masters), but most of those canceled toys stayed unreleased. (A few of the slated new molds got released in later lines with new decos, however.)

This mold was redecoed and retooled into multiple different Megatrons below, and Shattered Glass Megatron. As a redeco of the Revenge of the Fallen Bludgeon mold, it is highly likely that Megatron is cursed with the same design fault as his brethren - the rubber treads break down over the course of years, causing them to corrode spots of plastic and leave melty gashes behind. As Hasbro had recently acquired former competitor Kenner, and the Transformers franchise was facing extinction, the decision was made to shift the boys'-toy production to Kenner and take Transformers in a wildly different direction to hopefully revitalize the seemingly-tired concept... Beast Wars.

Ultra: Optimus & Megatron - probable release date - June 2001 (these are new additions to the list - I don't know if they will replace the 2 megas or if they are in addition to them, but these 2 along with the 4 deluxe will be the initial release"— BigBadToyStore, 2000/12/06(archive link) This mold was also used, with different heads and accessories, to make the other Transformers GT toys: GT-R Prime, GT-R Saber, and GT-R Maximus. Yuki]: That is right. (*laughs) I was not assigned to be in charge of it initially, but due to the circumstance within the company I was unexpectedly handed down the project. The schedule came with it and I was stunned when I realised that I was only given 12 days, about 2 weeks...To make it worse, at the time of my receiving the task, even the product size wasn't decided. (*tears) Generation 2 also sought to follow changing trends in the toy market in a broader sense. It put a much larger focus on keeping "main" characters (particularly Optimus Prime and Megatron) readily available on shelves with a variety of toys at different price points, as most of the successful competing toy lines of the '90s were focused on a core cast of characters, rather than the massive ever-changing casts of the '80s.

Select aspects of this design, such as the leg-mounted treads, the general transformation sequence and the tank alt-mode, were used to represent G1 Megatron in Transformers: Devastation. The toy meanwhile was retooled into Armada Megatron, which was released at the same time. This mold’s tank mode bears almost no specific resemblance to that Megatron’s original Armada toy, but in a concession to that character’s legacy, both versions of this mold feature Armada-style Mini-Con connection ports; a rarity in any year of the Generations toyline. Although originally set to release in January 2023, Megatron and The Baroness were spotted at a Toys"R"Us in Taiwan in late June 2022 and was released more widely via online outlets starting in October of that year. Transformers: Generation 2 is a series published by Marvel Comics from 1993 to 1994, in support of the Generation 2 toyline re-launch. Set in the same continuity as the original G1 book, it directly continues that book's story, introducing a new generation of Cybertronians that threaten the Autobots and Decepticons alike. There is a message written in Cybertronian letters on Megatron's box art, which reads "RISE FROM THE SHADOWS". Megatron's pose in the instruction manual's front cover is based on the promotional artwork by Guido Guidi.

In a fun bit of continuity, the camo patterns on the chest and legs actually roughly match those on the Voyager Class figure (but not the original one from 1992). I think the designers did a great job evoking the G2 era with this figure. As a direct result of this, Hasbro later re-adopted the "Combat" prefix for redecos of newer Optimus Prime and Megatron toys that homage the intended decos for these unreleased figures, first for " Combat Hero Optimus Prime" from the 2012 Generations "Ultimate Gift Set", then later for Generations Selects War for Cybertron Trilogy " Combat Megatron". Optimus Prime's first G2 toy, essentially a re-release of the original toy but with a new soundbox and weapons. Known designers: Sam Smith (Hasbro), Takio Ejima (TakaraTomy), Lenny Panzica (initial concept), Emiliano Santalucia (concept artist), Tony Colella (sculpter) [9]

As with other Netflix series figures, Megatron was exclusive to Walmart in Canada and the United States. Megatron was also available as a Kmart exclusive in Australia. Combat" Optimus Prime & Megatron television commercial 1, "Combat" Optimus Prime & Megatron television commercial 2 In 1992 Hasbro made an attempt to revive the then floundering Transformers toy line in the United States with a new line called Generation 2. While Transformers ruled toy store shelves in the 80s, by this time they had largely faded away (though they still sold rather well internationally). As part of this effort, a new Megatron was released. Instead of transforming into a gun, he now transformed into a tank. This helped start the long trend of Megatron transforming into a tank, something that continues to this day.The original version of this mold was use to make Archforce and 2001 Robots in Disguise Bludgeon (which has been repurposed to also be Shattered Glass Bludgeon) and Yellow Megatron. War for Cybertron "G2" Megatron is a fun figure. If you managed to keep yourself from buying Siege Megatron several times over I think you will get more mileage out of this figure. I really dig the deco and it really helps set it apart from many of the Megatron figures released in recent years. That said, the deco just falls short of being amazing and it does feel like a lost opportunity. Recommended, espeically if you do not have Earthrise Megatron. Two more Auto Rollers: an APC and a jet. Those eventually ended up being used by Takara for the Japanese version of the Beast Wars line (as Autolauncher and Autojetter, respectively). Universes continue to collide! Transformers: Legacy brings together fan-favorite characters from across the Transformers multiverse. Figures feature deco inspired by their universe with an updated Generations design. In honor of the almost 40-year legacy of Transformers entertainment, the fandoms come together from across the Transformers multiverse, all in one toy line.
