When I encrypt the traffic via a VPN. it does seem better to respond. Ping, resolution times decrease, though the overall speed is reduced. Unfortunately this isn't a solution for me, as I use netflix too. It’s a simple, plain white rectangular box with some status indicators on the front and a grey band around the edge. It looks fine, and for better or worse it won’t stand out as much as the aforementioned Huawei AI Cube, or even the likes of the Vodafone GigaCube, which is plain too but has a more noticeable tower-like design. The main point from all of this is not to expect a great deal of stability from a 4G network and expect that things like drastic speed changes even during the same day are going to be common. Three has been all over the place - but I think as you say, that is because its such a popular choice for home 4G broadband and its getting overloaded.I've just thrown my ID sim into the router, still working as usual. Its connected to the default apn that still says EE for me. I put my Phone's SIM in the router and experienced the same issues - I had to use a SIM adapter to make the sim up to Micro SIM size. A decent test here would be to use the router's SIM in my phone, but I don't want to cut it down and it's not one of those multi-size cards. All of this does indeed point to the issue being three. The SIM I took from my phone to test in the router is also three. But here is the peculiar part: The three network works much better from my phone (Pixel 3). Speedtest finds servers almost instantly and often has much lower ping and much better down speeds. I'll try again tomorrow...I'll also try forcing Band 1 on the MR600 and comparing since I now know it's a magic one! What's also interesting is that custom band selection gets me better bandwidth than my Samsung S10 as well - even if I stand on my roof next to my external antenna and hold my phone up high...

The 4GEE Home Router 2 meanwhile matches the Huawei B535 / Huawei HomeFi Plus for speed, and can connect up to 64 devices at once, but it has two (rather than four) ethernet ports. So again, it’s not quite as good as the B535. Here’s where things get a bit more complicated, as while the Huawei B535 WebBox is a good performer by 4G router standards, it’s no match for a 5G router or many wired connections. And the actual speeds you get will in large part depend on your coverage. Once set up, there’s a lot to like here. The B535 WebBox can get up to 64 devices online at once, which ismore than most people should need. It’s also a match for the Three 4G Hub, the Three 5G Hub, and the likes of the 4GEE Home Router 2, as well as topping the Vodafone GigaCube 4G. The design of the Huawei B535 WebBoxis nothing to get excited about, but that’s ok. Its plain white build will disappear neatly into almost any home. Most people don’t want their routers to stand out, and this one certainly doesn’t, even compared to the newer Three 5G Hub.I suspect the certificate error may be connected to my changing the LAN IP from 192.168.8.1 to 192.168.0.1 as that's when I first noticed the problem. That makes it a lot more convenient than fibre broadband. There’s very little waiting and if you move house you can easily take your Huawei B535 with you. Performance & Speeds

Maximum size for each attachment is 10MB (rar,jpg,zip,pdf,war,txt,docx,doc,png,mp3,mp4,xls,xlsx,gif,jpeg are supported). All things considered, the Huawei B535 is a very solid 4G home broadband router. If that’s all you’re after then it’s competitive with devices from EE and Vodafone, but no match for the new Three 4G Hub. It has also let me see that it would appear to be SINR in my area that is a problem for me, and I guess why I don't get great speeds. Doesn't seem to matter where I move internal or external antenna, it stays below 10...and fluctuates a lot! MR600 has no bridge mode, so if you're like me and intending on connecting it directly to your gateway (either as primary or secondary), then you have to jump through hoops. The Three 5G Hub is sure to be more expensive, but there you’re getting even higher speeds if you have the coverage. Conclusion So read on to see whether the Huawei B535 is worth hanging on to (or buying in the first place) or whether you’re better off with something different. Design

Or is this is all based on the fact that its 10.30 pm now and less people are streaming netflix over 4G? That’s not bad, but you’ll still need a SIM card and allowances to go with it, meaning there will be a monthly price too. MR600 has the band selection in the interface in the beta firmware (and they're still releasing firmware!), however for me this doesn't really work as intended, as previously explained. Also, there are some band combinations that it doesn't support for 4G+. E.g. it won't do 1+3, which is important on the Three network.

Specifications

The Three 5G Hub meanwhile has them all massively beat for speed – but again, you need 5G coverage to take advantage of that. It also curiously has fewer ethernet ports (just two), which might be an issue for some. Once the update process is successful, your Huawei phone will restart automatically & verify the system image. Press & hold the volume up + The volume down first then press the power button and keep pressing all together.
