This is one of those books I would actually reread / I hope it becomes an audiobook so I can listen to it all over again. I'm really going to need more books in this series and for all of the characters to meet up in one epic Midscape mashup at the end. The basic premise of each book is that a woman is taken, against her will, through varying circumstances, across the Fade (a barrier between the human and magical worlds).
