I don’t mind the brand Pampers at all — actually their baby wipes are among the best ones on the market — but these nappies are just not good enough and do not live up to their promises. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. She’s almost 14lb but still in size 2 as they fit lovely and have lots of stretchy elastic on the waistband and legs. Whilst we make every effort to ensure that the product information on our site is accurate, this information will occasionally change.

I’ve had problems with other nappies before – Sainsbury’s own brand were the same and could not be trusted for more than a couple of hours. I have tried most nappies by recieving sample products and have to say that i prefer Aldi above all else. Discover more about “Made in Italy”, a label synonymous throughout the world with refined materials, attention to detail, and creativity. With newborn nappies, their success is all in the performance, and these mini nappies have plenty of comfort features. Babies are different from each other and have different body shapes and weeing habits and things like that can have a huge impact.

A soft stretchy waistband, leg cuffs, resealable tabs and soft breathable layers give a more comfortable and snug fit for you baby. I gave Pampers another go since I hadn’t used them since newborn size and this is my honest experience with these particular Pampers nappies. The inclusion of any links does not necessarily imply a recommendation or endorse the views expressed within them. I love the mamia premium ones, my mum got be a jumbo pack of the standard ones and we tried 3/4 out of the pack and they all leaked!

Sainsbury’s Little Ones nappies have a 3D liner which absorbs soft poo and wee helping to keep your baby’s skin dry, and a wetness indicator at the front of the nappy. Our bronze award winner, Lidl’s Lupilu newborn nappies, have been designed especially for newborn babies. Lidl also sells a premium range which the discount supermarket claims offers advanced comfort, fit and flexibility.

Suitable for newborn babies between 6 - 13lbs, these nappies come with extra gentle leg elastics for added comfort as well as a wetness indicator. Aldi Mamia New Born Nappies claim to “keep your newborn comfortable and dry whilst your baby adjusts to its new surroundings”. We have tried a few nappies and so far all of them leak when she poops but the Aldi ones seem to keep it in. Five minutes after the last gush from the absorption test, six pre-weighed dry filter papers are placed on the wet nappy and held down for 30 seconds. I don’t think this is a true comparison you are an aldi nappy user so naturally you will favourite that brand.

Note: Only nappies within each type are directly comparable to one another, so use our filter tool to sort by type (newborn, infant, crawler, etc). The absorbent pulp is made from sustainably harvested Scandinavian forests, with a centre channel for a less bulky fit.I did try the premium size 3s but I am happy to stick with the normal size 3's as they are so much cheaper - and I have twins so go through ALOT of nappies! These nappies are soft, gentle and also boast a number of newborn baby features: an absorbent core, stretchy sides and leg cuffs, naval cut out and wetness indicator. Fortunately they brought out a premium range at Christmas in which the size 3 nappies are designed like the normal range's size 1 and 2 nappies so we are using those as the standard size 3s felt very cheap in comparison and they didnt have the wetness indicator. Here's what real mums and dads have to say about Mamia nappies in the Netmums forum:My little one has used the aldi nappies since he was born, they are fab. Aldi own-brand Mamia nappies Size 2 are designed for newborns weighing between 3 and 6 kg (between 6 and 13 lbs).

I used pampers up until Size 3, then i started trying alternatives as people recommended a lot of the cheaper brands and told me they were just as good, then i decided to give aldi nappies a try as so many people i knew said they were better and so much cheaper than any other brand, after going through 1 single pack of the Size 4 Mamia nappies i noticed my babies bum was a lot wetter when changing her and the nappies were leaking with both wee’s and poo’s! The wetness indicator is a great help to new mums to allow them to easily check if their little one needs changing without having to completely undress them. The Mamia nappies “wings” are much wider and offer more protection and the flaps where the Velcro is, is also much wider and gives Mamia a better fit. I don’t mind pampers for during the day but find they don’t last well through the night and feel much heavier in the morning for some reason than the aldi’s. My little one usually stirs during the night a few times due to a wet nappy, however with the Pampers nappy the changes were less frequent and she stirred less.

The reusable nappy market is growing and rightly so, with millions of disposable nappies filling up landfill every single day, a reusable nappy is not only better for the environment but great for your wallet to. But Mamia nappies are the best at keeping my daughter dry for a long time and she never leaks when she wears them.
