About this deal

Let’s look at the features of the wireless subwoofer to provide a clearer picture. 1. Easy to Set up and Use

It is very compact and requires no cable. You can place it almost anywhere in the room. Plus, it also has a remarkable design that fits with the aesthetics. The rounded edges with a textured body make the subwoofer even more minimalistic yet stylish. Even with non-Atmos media, the HT-A7000’s Immersive AE effect makes excellent use of the top-and side-firing drivers to create an enveloping soundstage than they would be when listening to lesser-equipped soundbars or the best bookshelf speakers. The HT-A7000 creates a large sweet spot that I estimate as a spherical space with a radius of 3 to 4 feet, where listeners can enjoy close to the optimal listening experience. First of all, what exactly is Sony SA-SW5? It is an optional speaker to use with Sony HT-A9, A7000, and A5000 soundbars. The double woofers on the front of the bar do provide a bit of oomph - especially when you crank the volume up above the 60% mark - but they in no way replace what a discrete subwoofer can provide. The same can be said for the upfiring speakers and drivers responsible for surround sound that come off as a little weaker than what we’d like. I have owned both the Sony A7000 and the Samsung Q990. I was looking for something as an improvement over an old Sony STR-DN1030 and a pair of small bookshelf speakers (Q-Acoustics 2020), I didn't have the space for bigger speakers up front, or cabled speakers anywhere else.If you have a TV with an eARC port, you should have next to no problem setting up the HT-A7000. It’s really as easy as plugging in the power cable and running an HDMI cable between the TV and the soundbar. That’s probably to be expected, though, and Sony’s HT-A9 home cinema system fills a void in the market in very fine style. The Sony SA-SW5 300W easily outmatches its competitors when it comes to sound quality. It offers an experience with immersive and blowing bass experience. If you are not satisfied with your soundbar or home theater, give the subwoofer a try. It makes any song much more enjoyable. Thus, it is the perfect device for parties, weddings, and other such events. The soundbar’s side channels expertly send signals around the sides of a moderately sized living room. The top channels for overhead effects are also successful, but not as immersive as with a fully outfitted Atmos cinema or home theater, where the speakers are actually overhead. But the HT-A7000 is far more enjoyable than watching movies with TV speakers, stereo speakers, or soundbars without top- and side-firing speakers. As another bonus, quiet movie dialog that is often hard to discern when using stereo speakers is much clearer when the sound mix is spread out to a multichannel format like Atmos. You do not have to worry about buying additional equipment with the subwoofer. The Sony SA-SW5 300W comes with an AC power cable. You need it to connect the device to the power source. And that is the only cable you will need with your subwoofer.

The 300W of SA-SW5 offers an immersive and explosive bass experience. Even better, the subwoofer is equipped with a passive radiator and a 180mm driver. Whether you are listening to songs or watching movies, it impacts the entire environment. This setup comes with a Sound Field Optimization room correction feature that you can activate when the bar is connected to your TV. This feature works automatically, but you can also manually enter your room's dimensions to calibrate the bar. We tested using the automatic Sound Field Optimization feature. However, we also tried the manual configuration and found it was a bit less loud than the automatic calibration, but the frequency response curves were identical. While these results may be unique to our testing room, we feel that the automatic calibration will be sufficient for most users. Another subwoofer that can be paired with is SW3 200W. However, it is more compact than SA-SW5. The latter is considered an ‘absolute beast’ when it comes to bass production. The Sony HT-A9, consisting of four identical-looking wireless speakers and a hub that connects to your TV, is keen to offer a third way, reconciling convenience with improved sound quality and consistent coverage. But it also aims to offer something that neither of these categories currently does: a flexible, complete Dolby Atmos cinema, in one box. Once everything was set up, my Samsung Smart TV remote could turn on the HT-A7000 and TV, plus control the soundbar’s volume. However, unlike other home theater system remotes, the HT-A7000 remote would not conversely turn on the Samsung TV, making a one-remote situation untenable. With 200 watts of oomph available, you can soon feel the difference the SA-SW3 makes. Sony’s proprietary Sigma Magnetic Circuitry technology maximises the magnetic force, giving you bass that’s not just deep but powerful and sustained. The most basic step you can take to improve the sound quality of the soundbar is to run a basic room calibration test. This takes just 20 seconds and it will help the soundbar know how far away from walls it is and which channels need extra power.
