About this deal

I tested Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver for three days. On the first two days of wear, I used half a sample each day (about 1 ml of scent); on day three I wore an entire vial (2 ml). Though Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver certainly smelled stronger with a larger dosage, it had almost no sillage and stayed so close to my body after the first few hours I had to put nose to skin (or shirt) to smell it. There's nothing truly "intense" about this perfume after its first few minutes of development. But now it had been bought and given to me as a present - the return period has unfortunately expired - and so I sprayed impartially, but not with the greatest expectations, on the very special (in a positive sense) bottle, but more about that later. The bottle receives 7 points from me! The glass has an intimated "H" shape, also at the bottom. A "metal plate" with integrated sprayer is attached to the top of the glass. On the sprayer is engraved "Hermes", the cap that encloses the sprayer has to be turned to make the sprayer visible and is held in a matching brown tone. Simply a great design. Why do I still deduct three points? After approx. 1.5-2 hours the bergamot has completely disappeared, leaving a woody, earthy vetiver, which gets a certain, but by no means biting, sharpness, perhaps also spiciness, from the Szechuan pepper.

Also eher Leiter Finanzen und Controlling. The price or the price-performance ratio is, I think, generally justified and for an average of 80€/100 ml also affordable for everyone, although it is "too uncomplex" for this price and I would expect a little more, but this is of course in the eye of the beholder. Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver, because of its bergamot and peppery vetiver, I think it fits especially well in spring and autumn, for me it is too light for winter, too heavy for summer. It fits perfectly into everyday life and is well suited for school / university / work and leisure time, but for special occasions and / or going out you should count on other fragrances, because for something like this the Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver is too - badly formulated - "boring" and too monotonous - it is not particularly aphrodisiacal either. First there was the start with the slightly rotten oranges. A good shot of bergamot has now been added, giving it a bit of grapefruit-like appearance, which is pleasantly bitter and fresh.

One thing in advance: with this offshoot, you should not expect a direct flanker of the well-known and popular TdH. Rather, Terre d'Hermès Intense Vétiver is an independent fragrance that has only the citrus-fresh direction in common with the namesake. But either my scent preference has evolved after 1.5 years more in the direction of tartness, and / or this fragrance has become a little more pleasing. In fact, it seems to me now no longer quite so harsh, bitter and repellent austere, but optimally balanced (even the bergamot holds out longer in my batch). In short: This Hermes is now in my Top10 ascended and an unconditional recommendation for masculine perfumes. As I left Nordstrom and went shopping around town, I noticed a rose geranium note emerge in Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver's mid-development, and it was joined by rich (but still citrus-y) vetiver. At the end of hour No. 1 of wear, I was still itching for a bottle of Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver. Then — Iso E Super barged into the proceedings. Iso E Super is augmented with vetiver, talc-y citrus and something woody-musky (its own cedar-y reflection?) For those of you wondering, the Hermès PR is accurate; the "mineral"/flint note of original Terre d'Hermès (to me, its most interesting aspect) is missing in Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver. I clearly do not perceive a real "top note-heart-note-base note composition". The persistent bergamot can perhaps be interpreted as a relatively long top note, but all in all Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver is a very linear scent, a dryout or something similar you "search" in vain. But he is not only interesting for fans of TdH, but especially for all who are inclined to the subject of vetiver, but have problems with one or the other rather scratchy version. Of course, Guerlain's vetiver should be mentioned here. An absolute classic, which I myself once had in my collection, but which has been a few degrees too rough, scratchy and tart for me and was not re-bought after using up.But now the BUT: because I should perhaps have paid more attention to the "Intense".
