I have not tested swimming in these watch, neither tried to drill or scratch the cyclops eyed glass - but declared are 100m resistance and sapphire top (so you have to believe it). It appears to be a mushroom brand, but it's priced above where Chinese skeleton watches are normally-- to justify the Miyota movement and the sapphire crystal. It also has what looks to be a decent bracelet-- the pictures show solid end links-- but I've found that cheap Chinese watches don't automatically have bad bracelets. I don't know if there's any kind of service after the sale or warranty or anything like that. I would be dubious of any claims the manufacturer makes. The "1899" surely doesn't stand for the year the company was founded... Holuns automatic watch with various complications of a type that is seen from the cheaper Chinese producers, and I wonder if the Holuns version is actually worth the extra you pay for the Holuns brand. (pic from sansartkenya.com): Quality craftsmanship should extend to all components of a wristwatch collection. That's why we focus on European and American manufacturers, including Bonetto Cinturini, Cape Cod Polish, ColaReb, Di-Modell, Erika's Originals, EULIT, Fluco, Forstner, Hadley-Roma, Haveston, Hirsch, RIOS1931 and Staib. Norqain, a relatively young Swiss brand that focuses on outdoor adventure-oriented watch designs, launched the Adventure Neverest series in 2021, taking the vistas of the Himalayas as inspiration for their textures colorful dial. The GMT models builds upon the originals’ diver-style look with the addition of a central arrow-shaped hand that points to a second time zone on a bicolor scale on the flange displaying 24 hours. The automatic movement is by Kenissi, a Swiss movement manufacturer founded by another, larger brand on this list, Tudor, and the case in which it beats is made of stainless steel and water resistant to 100 meters. http://g02.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1aiiPGXXXXXbeaXXXq6xXFXXXh/HOLUNS-Watch-geneva-Automatic-watches-men-luxury-brand-sport-dress-business-Fashion-Casual-watch-R102.jpgIn my book, while conceptually sound, not the best of systems to read off a new local time when stumbling out of a plane after a 12 hour flight. Now that I have examined a Holuns homage to the Datejust for myself, and also done a bit of research, I do wonder if the watch is really all it seems to be. Holuns claims that the watch is stainless steel, and with a sapphire crystal and 100 metre water resistance. Also, there is the spurious claim on the dial that the watch is a certified chronometer, and as for the date of 1899 given for the beginning of the company, I won't waste my time in trying to establish a concrete link between modern Holuns watches and some heritage watch company from the past. My concern is that none of the specifications lauded by Holuns are actually correct, and when I looked at the watch on the cheap bulk retailers/wholesalers of watches, I was amazed to arrive at TWO sets of specs for this watch. One set gave the specs claimed by Holuns while the other gave more realistic specs, such as a mineral glass crystal, only 30 metre water resistance, and even an alloy rather than stainless steel case. I could honestly see this as an impulse buy for someone who could easily afford the watch. The movement makes it a less-risky proposition, presuming it's not fake. The design is definitely copied from that of R-X. Apart from non screwed down winding head (which is arranged more like those on 10Atm Seikos), everything is the same, down to text insertions on the dial, with HOLUNS shield at 24:00 and non gold bezel. PS. Though HOLUNS is represented in Russian watch forum (by its copy of Visodate), my photo of "datejust" watch was deleted by administration, and I was banned from forum yet again (despite my 9 years membership). I agree that datejust/oyster/perpetual are registered marks by R-X, but there are no crown, neither R-X name (and, in such a combination present day Datejust 1 comes in completely different version and marks) - so saying its a "fake R-X" is not that absolutely correct.

Seiko introduced the Sharp Edged family, whose members were distinguished by their intriguing textured dials, into its dressy, all-automatic Presage collection in 2020, adding GMT models to the original group of time-and-date watches a year later. At just over 42mm in diameter, the Presage Sharp Edged GMT sits comfortably on the wrist thanks to sloping lugs; the case’s finish combines polishing and brushing at a level rarely found at this price point. The GMT bezel that frames the dial is made of steel and coated with Seiko’s fade-resistant DiaShield coating. The dial itself is, of course, the star of the show, with its geometric “Asanoha” textured pattern, an ancient Japanese design motif inspired by hemp leaves. The dial colors also take inspiration from Japan’s natural world, like the “Aitetsu” model pictured, whose tone evokes indigo-colored iron ore. For Mike, the owner of Holben's Fine Watches and Bands, it all began with a 1976 Tony the Tiger watch. To a nine-year-old it was the coolest gift ever, and sparked a love of wristwatches that continued to flourish. In the next few years he acquired a variety of styles, from digital calculator and early Swatch watches to his first true antique, a 1920s Elgin Tank-style model. Price: 920 Euros, Case Size: 39mm Case Height: 12mm, Lug to Lug: 47mm, Lug Width: 20mm, Crystal: Sapphire, Water Resistance: 100 meters, Movement: Automatic Soprod C125 Hull built is solid, jubilee bracelet has solid chains (even at ends), HOLUNS shielded clasp. Inside the bezel HOLUNS DESIGN is engraved, HOLUNS is engraved on inner bottom of the hull, near the lug, and model's number is engraved on the hull hidden under the end chain. Founded in France in 2017, Baltic has swiftly staked out its spot on the independent microbrand scene with its vintage-influenced collection, particularly the Aquascaphe, a retro divers’ watch heavily influenced by midcentury classics like Blancpain’s Bathyscaphe models. For the GMT version of the Aquascaphe, Baltic replaced the base model’s unidirectional bezel with 60-minute dive scale with a more travel-friendly, bidirectional (and bicolor) 24-hour bezel, which can be used in conjunction with a central arrow-tipped hand to read the time in a second time zone. The dive-watch DNA of the Aquascaphe series is clearly present, with the dial sporting geometric hour markers, plentiful lume on the markers and hands, and a 100-meter water resistance (half of the diving model’s 200-meter rating, but still substantial). Adding to the value proposition is Baltic’s use of a self-winding Soprod movement inside the brushed steel case. The Holuns automatic homage to the Rolex Datejust - this colourway being the version I have recently examined (pic from aliccdn.com): This is a good introduction to GMT watches. By and large, it focuses on watches displaying a second time zone with a second central hour hand that references a second, 24 hour scale paralleling the classical 12 hour one.
