She has worked there for 10 years, following her dream but it is extremely hard work and long hours.

Forced to sleep under the same roof as her handsome neighbour Finn, Freya realises she's going to need a distraction—fast! As has become my erratic and not particularly reliable tradition, I have decided to ruin yet another Christmas song for you. I could picture them in that cosy flat above the deli with it cold outside and lights twinkling on the high street.Christmas has always been a sad time for young widow Holly Brown, so when she's asked to look after a remote house on the Lancashire moors, the opportunity to hide herself away is irresistible -- the perfect excuse to forget about the festivities. It was a clever idea with the 12 days of Christmas Food but at the same time Freya seems to have an aversion to the food she makes. The book is heartwarming, but it also deals with some serious issues including the death of a mother, unemployment, guilt, grief and abuse in a very sensitive manner.

His books include Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Twelve Days of Christmas, The Night Before Christmas, The Winter's Tale, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, to name but afew, have garnered numerous awards and have made the New York Times bestseller lists on many occasions.I found Jude's character strong from the beginning and although the relationship is very predictable, the journey through it's progression and slight twists made a fantastic read. After graduating from Falmouth University in 2013 where she studied illustration, she has had work shortlisted for the Lowry Children’s Book Award and has written and illustrated Herberto, a picture book published in Portugal, Brazil, Slovenia, France and South Korea.

I loved the premise and really appreciated that the 12 days of Christmas in the title actually referred to the 12 days of Christmas - those days from Christmas Day until Epiphany (January 6th). From serenading six snowmen to entertaining eleven elves, this tale is bursting with festive fun as the whole family decorate the tree and get ready for Christmas. Holly a house sitter gets tasked with looking after a remote house on the Lancashire Moors over the Christmas period which suits Holly as she likes to avoid the festivities. This is everything a Christmas book should be – I loved every single moment, and recommend it really highly. The next part to guess is if she is related to the family and if she's a cousin or a lover to Jude or both? There are too many exclamation marks, too much repetition of facts and not enough plot at the start of the novel. Finn doesn't allow her to stay in her mum's old house is it cold and damp as there's no electricity or heating because no one has been living in the house. I can tell you I am currently reading Death at Le Fenice by Donna Leon, savouring every word and enjoying solving the case with the gentle Guido Brunetti. There have been different versions of the song throughout the years before the famous partridge in a pear tree was settled on… until now!
