Description

The Variable Flow teat (with the I, II and III markings on the teat) is suitable for babies aged 3+ months old. This teat has a slot cut into it which provides an adjustable flow rate. The flow rate can be varied by turning the bottle to align the I, II or III markings on the teat with the baby's nose. Cloudy looking teats generally occur as a result of strong cold-water sterilisation. Cold water sterilisation is perfectly fine, but if you’ve gone a bit over the top with the sterilisation solution (it’s easily done!), it can impact the colour. Are you searching for signs that show a baby needs faster flow teat? Feeding is sometimes difficult for some babies. This situation is usually temporary. The first thing to do is observe your baby and find out their temperament when eating. This would go a long way in helping you know when your baby’s teat needs to be changed. The fast flow of milk from the teat is an indication that the teat is too big, and in most cases, babies find it difficult to handle such teats. The following are signs that the Teat flow is too fast for your Baby:

If you are breastfeeding, we suggest staying with the Natural First Flow teat because it is designed to match the flow rate of the mother.Don’t worry though, as the teats are still perfectly safe to use, they just look a little different to the norm. If the problem continues after the valve has been opened, it takes longer than 20 minutes for baby to finish a bottle, or if baby tugs at the teat or baby falls asleep mid-bottle, you may need to increase the teat flow rate.

Starting from the completion of this transaction, you will automatically receive 1 brush head every 3 months, until you have notified us that you wish to pause or cancel your subscription. sometimes its taking him ages to finish a bottle (an hour and 10 minutes for 5oz lastnight) but sometimes he guzzles it down no problem so i just dont know what to think!

The built-in anti-colic air vent reduces unwanted air intake and prevents bubbling of milk, saving precious nutrients from oxidation.

We have medium flow teats, which most babies are ready for at around 3 months, and a fast flow teat which is best from around 6 months. The ages are only guides though – you know your baby better than anyone and will be able to tell when they’re ready for a faster flow. The Newborn teat (with the number 1 on the teat) is recommended for babies of 0+ months old that are breastfed and bottle-fed.Tip: Press on all 4 sides to ensure Teat is fully secured. Place on the Transparent Cover for hygiene purposes. If your baby has to let go of the teat, is spilling milk, is getting too much milk to swallow or milk is dripping between the lips and the teat, the flow rate might be too fast and you should change to a teat with a lower flow rate. Reflux is the phenomenon of food rising from the stomach of the baby. Sometimes this is manifested by regurgitation, but it can also happen that food remains in the baby’s throat. This is then referred to as “silent” reflux. Both types of reflux can occur in the same baby. I'm just weaning my LO from breastfeeding onto bottles and it only occurred to me last night that I'm still using the tommee tippee slow flow teats! Latley my little one has starting falling asleep during feeding and just gives up and near the end he gets frustrated.

The Natural First Flow teat (with the number 0 on the teat) is recommended for newborns and preemies. This teat can be used from day 1 and when switching from breastfeeding to bottle-feeding. Not suitable for use in a conventional oven or a combination microwave oven with the grill feature switched on. Hi hun, my midwife told me to change over when Ellie was 4-5 days old! I did and she was fine. She was on the fast flo from 2-3 montjs and can down a 9oz bottle in less than 5 minutes. She dosnt have wind problems either. x Follow your baby’s lead to see what teat is right for them. Some babies prefer to stay on the slow flow teats for many months. You can also buy variflow teats where the flow rate can be varied.'

The Sonicare brush head replacement subscription is all about bringing convenience to your healthy smile. Hi I moved Hayden to the Tommee Tippee Variflow at 6 weeks - basically he then controls the speed and volume of milk in each gulp - it took him a couple of days to get used to them (milky face due to being greedy and not realising so much would come out) but he is great with them now and no need to move him to another set at a later date For babies who will be fed with anti-reflux formula, a single hole, fast flow Is ideal. Can a Fast Flow Teat Cause Wind?
