Even though these three simple projects aren’t quite spooky, they definitely are festive! Decorating gets crazy this time of year when you have to jump from Halloween to Thanksgiving and then Christmas, so I try to keep it simple. I’ll probably put away the accordion bats in November, but the pumpkins and dried Chinese lantern branches can definitely stay out. The process for all the suncatcher crafts really is more or less the same. All you need to do is switch out your seasonal templates. And today’s template is for Fall, Thanksgiving and Halloween! Supplies needed to make Suncatcher Pumpkins: Cut out strips of toilet paper and glue them on top of your paper roll to look like a mummy. It’s ok if you leave some spaces not covered. They look so cheery hanging on the window! You could make them in darker and spookier colours if you want to. Isn’t it surprisingly easy to make an accordion garland?! It takes some patience adding each layer, but now that I know how to make one, I want to try a couple more in some interesting shapes.

In terms of the Mod Podge formula to use, this project utilizes the Satin type. But you can use any formula you like, honestly. Gloss or Matte would work as well! It really depends on the finish you would like. If you’re feeling a little bold, you could also use Sparkle. I’m going to let you get creative! If making the pumpkin, unfold the center pumpkin shape and cut out the eyes, nose and mouth. Keep these aside to glue on later.Find the small hole you cut in the old sheet, tulle, creepy cloth, or plastic bag, and place the balloon’s knot through it. Cut the stem from an extra paper roll and glue to the top. We like to use Elmers Xtremeglue for this part. Sugar Skull Craft– Encourage children to embrace diverse cultures and traditions by decorating a sugar skull. This activity can be tailored to your child’s skill level by just coloring, or adding intricate details and embellishments to their skulls. Handprint Bat Craft– This batty project takes a simple piece of paper and a few crafting supplies to magically transform your child’s handprints into an adorable bat keepsake. Gather your supplies along with our free template to take flight into a world of spooky creativity!

Our mantel is going to look so festive once I throw a bunch of these pumpkins on it. If you’re hosting a Halloween or fall party, orange honeycomb tissue balls in various sizes turned into pumpkins would look great on the tabletops. One of the things I love about these Halloween mason jars is that they use tissue paper instead of paint. This is nice because when you add a tealight, the light shines through reasonably brightly – more so than if you use craft paint or spray paint.Minute Spooky Stories: We love Disney’s 5-minute storybooks and this one is perfect for Halloween! See how all your favorite Disney characters celebrate this spooky holiday. Paper Plate Frankenstein Craft– Get ready for a monstrously fun craft with this paper plate craft. Kids will bring this famous Halloween character to life on a readily available art supply – the paper plate! Create a creature that’ll give any monster a run for his bolts with paint and our free template! Children’s Halloween Activities

This paper roll Halloween craft is a breeze to make and is so fun to put together. We love how each paper roll has a different personality. FINISHED!!! Hope you enjoyed our simple suncatcher pumpkin instructions and more importantly – our pumpkin templates!!!Skeleton Halloween Craft– Looking for something fun and easy for your kids to do this Halloween? They can craft their own spooky skeleton! It’s easily adaptable for any child’s skill level, so grab the template and a handful of supplies to get to the building. To be fair, I think the coffee filter suncatcher pumpkins, are probably more eco friendly? And if you are working in a classroom, these could work out cheaper too!

Homemade Halloween decorations and ghosts are always a hit with the kids. This easy step-by-step tutorial teaches how to make large ghost decorations out of an old white sheet, an extra-large plastic bag, a piece of creepy gauze fabric, or a roll of tulle to make extra-large ghosts with the step-by-step directions above. Follow the directions below if you use an old sheet to make your extra-large ghost decoration. 1. Cut a small hole in the middle of an old white sheet, plastic bag, etc. Use scissors to cut squares of tissue paper, fabric (tulle, an old sheet, or pillowcase), or white plastic garbage bags. We cut 10 to 12-inch squares to make ghost crafts, but they can be any size you like. Hold the balloon over the sheet on your lap and draw a friendly or spooky ghost face onto the old white sheet. Ensure that the front will be in the right place when you hang it by holding the ghost decoration from the balloon before you start drawing. These worksheets will leave kids wanting more, so once they get done with one, they can move on to solving the next! In case you need a little help, an answer key is provided for deciphering all the secret messages. Get ready for a Halloween adventure of mystery and learning!
