Description

No need for a review as the base light has already had a few, just wanted to let fellow penlight enthusiasts know that the ReyLight Pineapple is now available in 2xAAA configuration. b. 2 blinks: mode memory on-off toggle (default off). Press the button during the two blinks or during the strobe after to turn mode memory on. Repeat to turn mode memory off. Two versions of the ReyLight Pineapple Mini Seigaiha flashlight in titanium exist. There’s this stonewashed version, as well as a bead-blasted version. Measurements were taken indoors at 5 meters with a professional Hagner E4-X Lux Meter. The measurement was at startup. Low and Moon are too low to measure at 5 meters. Mode All output numbers are relative for my home-made Integrating Sphere. It is set up with an Extech SDL400 Lux Meter for measurements including a Kenko PRO1D ND-16 filter. The base measurement is done with a Convoy S2+ that has been tested at 255 lumens and 265 lumens (I now use 2 integrating sphere, so I can do more runtime tests at the same time. And 1 is with an ND filter for high power flashlights, and the other without so it can measure low output. )

LED and Power

Battery Compatibility】 The flashlight uses AAA/10440 two kinds of battery solutions, respectively, for different occasions, when using AAA lumens can reach 90 lumens, when using 10440 li-ion battery up to 240 lumens. The ReyLight Pineapple Mini is proof that we are living in the golden age of gear. Pleasingly compact, surprisingly bright, and amazingly affordable, a lighting instrument of this quality and caliber would be unimaginable just a few years ago.

I didn’t even bother to test the lowest 2 modes, but I assume they would run for many many hours. This is a specialty flashlight and designed for its appearance and not for the output. High mode drops to roughly 15-17 lumens within 1 minute. I wished for a longer output in high mode. Throw MeasurementPress the button 8+ times. The light will now blink once, then strobe, blink twice, then strobe, blink three times, then strobe…After 5 blinks and a strobe, the sequence repeats.

The downside is that the runtime means that I often opt to carry the FWAA with the 14500 battery in it. Even though that light is larger in diameter it’s shorter and there are few times when the size difference between the two is a make or break for me. Using single AAA battery, max 90 lumens, or 10440 Li-ion battery, max 240 lumens. Flat top, UNPROTECTED 10440 battery suggested. Some button-top batteries may also work, but some brands make the button to long which might cause a problem. Because the first few hours are more interesting, I cut the runtime graph short, so you can better understand the runtime graph.Left to right: Lumintop FWAA 14500, Prometheus Beta QR-v2 AAA, Pineapple Mini AAA/10440, SureFire Titan Plus AAA.
