Frankenstein’s Monster (who is billed only as “Frankenstein” on the package; in Jada’s defense on that one, they seem to be naming the figures after movies, not after individual figures, so I don’t think it’s quite the same as the usual mis-titling of the character) is part of the first four figure assortment of Jada’s Universal Monsters line. While I felt some of the Dracula Minimates were a little lackluster, I don’t feel the Frankenstein set has any real short comings. The Vergil Sixth Scale Figure features authentic and detailed fully realistic likeness from The Devil May Cry Series. The articulation is a little less worked in around the elbows and ankles, but otherwise the aesthetics are pretty well-preserved, and the level of texture detailing is quite impressive. The figure stands just shy of 4 inches tall (he was amongst the tallest of the set) and he has 5 points of articulation. The coat is new, while the hair is a re-use from the CA:TTA “Reborn” Cap (to be fair, the piece was first shown on Henry, but there was a bit of a delay between Henry’s prototype being shown and his actual release. Finding these in good condition is not impossible, but they have been remade in the last few years in different colors, so be careful when looking for these that they have the Mego markings on their backs. I feel like this could be useful for customs which is part of the reason I decided to try out the line with her.I wish we would see this more often with waves of figures from other lines, so it would be easier for my old ass to remember what is out. Frankenstein's Monster Cat Toy is a handmade cat toys filled with catnip and toy stuffing made from recycled bottles.

The Monster is packed with an alternate head with his teeth exposed (presumably from when he’s learning to speak in the second film), two sets of hands in relaxed and open gesture poses, and two sets of manacles with chains of differing lengths. She’s almost as detailed as the 12″ Sideshow Collectibles figure I had, from her face to the garments she comes with. I appreciate their inclusion because I really don’t have much in the way of Frankenstein Laboratory props. It’s slightly dated and stiff now, but it was the standard in the day, and what’s more, the stiffness is actually perfect for a character like the Monster. Bride featured better writing, better character work, better special effects, and a killer soundtrack to boot!

Still, she’s iconic and this figure nails the aspects that make her iconic and feels like the Universal Monsters done in a Black Series style. There is a good range of motion on most of the joints, and the tolerancing seems to be pretty decently handled. archie art baking blogoween bootlegs cardio Christmas chubby kid comic books comics conventions cookies cooking countdown to halloween depression disney Elvira family fat girls being funny feminism four guys a girl four guys and a girl frankenstein fun geekdom geekdom; editorial geek fashion geek girls geeking out ginchiness girl power halloween he-man HeroesCon holidays holidork horror knock-offs league league of extraordinary bloggers loeb love Marvel masters of the universe me monsters MOTU motuc movies music my mom is the raddest mom ever nerdery nostalgia Pee-Wee photography plastic kingdom podcast pop culture Rebel Wilson schlock space star wars thriller toys travel tunes TV universal monsters walking dead weird Whedon writing zombie plan zombies I take pictures of dumb things. Any idea where that tan Frankenstein fast food premium, with the blue pants/shirt and yellow belt came from (the one in front of the Mezco Frank)? He shows what the line should have focused on, in contrast to the plethora of modern properties it ultimately did focus on.
