There is so much more to come from this series I can feel it, and I am hanging for book 3 later this year! On an account where Sephie was attacked by one of the notorious mafia sons, she went through the most and would have ended up in a bad place if not for the intervention of Adrik from behind the scenes. Sephie had gotten used to it overtime, as she considered it one of the challenges, she had to face just to make ends meet, but that was soon going to change. If it would have been just between Lucien and Scarlett, I’d get it; but let’s toss some others in there just to mix things about a bit.
In this particular scene, readers are given a clear picture of how much Adrik wants to protect and care for Sephie. To be honest I skipped half of it because the repetition was so annoying and just ended up reading any dialogue spoken or bits and pieces that actually pertained to the development of the story.
Sephie finds herself in one dangerous situation after another, and she must rely on her strength and intelligence to survive.
