Description

Jacqueline Wilson was born in Bath in 1945, and spent her childhood in Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey, where she still lives today. One of Jacqueline’s most successful and enduring creations has been the famous Tracy Beaker, who first appeared in 1991 in The Story of Tracy Beaker. Although Lizzie is moving into a new home, with a new stepdad and two step-brothers, she wishes things could have stayed the same - just her and her mum together in a flat, before her new stepdad came along. Little Lizzie refuses to speak after she and her mum move in with her new stepdad and younger stepbrothers.

Lizzie Zipmouth follows Lizzie, who has sworn she won’t speak to anyone now that she has to move in with her mum’s new boyfriend Sam, and his two sons Rory and Jake. Jak se seznámila s prababičkou, tak jsem si myslela, že ji bude nenávidět, ale byl z toho pravý opak a jsem za něho ráda. In June 2002 Jacqueline was given an OBE for services to literacy in schools, and she was the Children’s Laureate from 2005-2007. Lizzie is experiencing the change in a new environment when she moved in to live with her step dad and his sons.

There is nothing wrong with liking what you like, though I think Jake is expected to grow out of playing with stuffed toys. As well as winning many awards for her books, including the Children's Book of the Year, Jacqueline is a former Children's Laureate, and in 2008 she was appointed a Dame. She succeeds at including a range of grown up issues into Children’s stories and making them easy to understand. It is aimed for 7- to 10-year-old readers, and is written in a fun and believable way to connect with the audience. It started really promising when Lizzie had to move in with a father and his two sons because her mom fell in love and Lizzie stopped speaking because she didn't want a new family.

She doesn't want to talk to Rory or Jake, her new step-brothers, or Sam, their dad, or even her mum. Jacqueline is also a great reader, and has amassed over 20,000 books, along with her famous collection of silver rings. Then one day a member of her new family turns out to be even more stubborn than Lizzie, and things begin to change. Nick Sharratt has created illustrations for over two hundred and fifty books during his illustrious career.Double Act won the prestigious Smarties Medal and the Children’s Book Award as well as being highly commended for the Carnegie Medal. Setiap kali perbuatannya pada Sam selalu menyebalkan dan Lizzie selalu menunggu-nunggu kapan Sam akan membentaknya. Her characters are strong and memorable, the writing is superb and the storytelling is captivating enough to lure the most reluctant of listeners.

And then the grab has a stroke and she has to learn to talk and walk again and Lizzy helps her get better and its great and you guys should get this book! i'd have loved for more insight into lizzie's silence as a trauma response and how her gran helps her through it! Jacqueline Wilson wrote her first novel when she was nine years old, and she has been writing ever since. This is a great book for early readers who want to start reading chapter books, but who aren’t quite strong enough readers yet. I thought it was a great book because Lizzie had to go to Sam her Stepdads house with her mum, but she didn’t like Sam at all. This is a nice quick read for anyone who wants to enjoy some of Jacqueline Wilson’s smaller works, whether you are rereading them or younger readers discovering them for the first time.
