But my love of chypres eventually overcame my fear of disco, and I am now delighted to be wearing Halston EDT, from a bottle labeled "Parfums Halston," "Made in France"--the original version?

I mostly get slight mint/melon, lots of GREEN, huge marigold, carnation, moss, woods, earth, a bit leather and some sweat from the dance floor of Studio 54. I love it and while I lack the "perfume" vocabulary to describe it, I can tell you that is smells the way it makes me feel above. The smell on me starts sharp, then becomes powdery and warm and soft, at times it feels like a hint of Private Collection hides, but then it is replaced by a woodier note. At its base, it smelled of hedonism and excess; leather banquettes at Studio 54, cigarette smoke, warm skin. It kind of reminds me of Clint Eastwood on a Bad Day too Macho, Come on Punk Make My Day, Well It Centianly Didn't Make My Day, My Husband saif his Aftershave Smells Better than that, for the 20 Dollars I wasted.In any case, for me Halston (bought recently, not vintage) is a clean, energetic scent, which smells more like a refreshing unisex cologne or even aftershave.

Later, I perceive soft, tropical flowers (no peppery carnation or sharp marigold to my nose) with some fruity sweetness, set against a rich background of patchouli, moss, and sandalwood. This woody mossy fragrance has a blend of citrus, melon, peach, floral, jasmine, rose, marigold, amber, patchouli, musk, incense, and moss. One side is dark, damp and disquieting with its mosses while its counterpart of sweetness brings one back to better moments.I don't remember ever smelling this on anyone else so my recollections of this perfume are highly dependent on how she wore it and how it smelled on her.
