As their name suggest, these warriors are equipped with massive warhammer that are imbued with Runes, making theirs swings and attacks all the more powerful. They extract minerals, metals and precious stones from the earth beneath their mountain homes which creates a labyrinth of delvings and caverns reaching ever deeper.

A stable gunline defense, small mobile units to counter thrusts, and precise application of fire support are the name of the day - but require careful tactics, as they can easily be undone by flanking or baiting maneuvers.The last of Orcs Warlord Gorbad Ironclaws army is destroyed by High King Kendrak Gottrison as it moves towards the Badlands. Contrary to Men, whose dialect differs widely depending on geographic location, the Dwarfs remain fairly consistent in dialect across the Dwarven realm, although there are exceptions.

If the marker is under an enemy unit when the Miners emerge, the Miners are considered to have charged. Most Dwarfs units are quite slow moving, however the flying Gyrocopters and Gyrobombers are an exception. Such is the power of the drakegun that only a few Ironbreakers are capable of wielding its flesh-scorching punishment.

Attacks with the Hammer of Karak Drazh are resolved at +3 Initiative, and any enemy models that suffer one or more unsaved Wounds from it are subject to the Always Strikes Last special rule until the end of the next Close Combat phase.
