As brothers there was a level of incestuous behaviour that was a bit 🤧, which is why I was ultimately pulling for her to end up with one. Dark powers think Stella might have been involved and the only way she and the team can prove her innocence is to find out what the hell is really going on. I really wasn’t sure how I felt about the triplets after book one, but I really got on board with their brand of crazy in this one! Scout surprised me the most as he was presumed to be so volatile and crazy (and he definitely can be), but he bonds with Della which is adorable and he is the cook in the family.

I also felt like some things were thrown into this book that would have made more sense coming out in book one. This dramatisation explores the complexities and intimacies of that relationship beyond anything possible in Dickens' day, in an adaptation giving fresh life and vividness to this beloved tale. I just wish this book had focused more on the character development started in book one and less on trying to surprise us.My fav thing about this book was how the guys were with Della, especially Scout whom I did not think would have a soft spot for Della. It soon becomes clear that the murders were carefully planned and the finger of suspicion points to an organised crime gang, but as the evidence mounts, a far more sinister theory emerges. Deception Duet was a great read and is another excellent addition to the Midnight Dynasty collection. I guess the end of Midnight Dynasty it's when Morelli and Constantine will be all friends, the knots are getting tighter.

It will get to the heart of how the new monarchy works now as it seeks that vital element – relevance – in a secular, digital and increasingly angry world.character wise i loved it, the plot in the first book was kinda weird hence the 3 stars but this book was so good. The author really turns up the heat in this instalment and the triplets really show what they can do when they work together. A sob of horror tries to make its escape, but Scout’s hand is clamped almost painfully over my mouth. The tougher part is actually winning her back now that she knows they’ve been playing her, but if the triplets know her like like it was their job to do, then winning her over shouldn’t take long. This sequel has a much darker feel than book 1, mainly because we learn more about the abuse and trauma Landry went through to protect her sister.

There was just something inherently hilarious about an angelic-looking six-year-old being a complete menace. But this time, they are up against an enemy who wouldn't bat an eyelid at knocking off four septuagenarians.

He must make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ruling Ring of Power - the only thing that prevents the Dark Lord Sauron’s evil dominion. It wasn’t necessary a bad development— it was actually entertaining to see, but it didn’t necessarily come off fair for the other two.

We all know Teddy Hamilton is a fave for the masses, but Sarah Puckett is also unbelievably amazing. Find out why exercise and willpower can't save us, and what UPF is really doing to our bodies, our health, our weight, and the planet (hint: nothing good). She puts so much passion and emotion into her stories that the reader is experiencing the words in real time.
