If I had to describe the overall frequency response in a nutshell, the Yamaha HS5 has very clear mids and highs. Clarity is the word that pops into my mind here. I talked about four pillars – the four Es – enterprise, which is these innovative businesses; education, which reflects the skills we need; employment because we need to use the skills of the people we have much better; and the final one is everywhere, which is the levelling up agenda. You can find the need for infrastructure in those four pillars, particularly if you look at our transport infrastructure and our energy infrastructure. There is a lot to be achieved but there is a lot more than needs to happen. Like the HS7 and HS8, the HS5 can be hooked up to the Yamaha HS8S subwoofer if you need a major low-end extension - perfect for electronic music producers and mixers! Whilst any compatible sub can be hooked up to the HS5, the HS8S has been specially voiced to complement HS series monitors. If you want to be able to hear lower frequencies without the need for a subwoofer, the larger onboard woofers on the Yamaha HS7 and HS8 can provide that extra depth. Feature Presentation If you work with a lot of bass, getting a dedicated subwoofer or an excellent pair of mixing headphones will definitely provide you with all the low-end clarity you need. What About Noise? It’s important to consider what you’re using these for. For creative professionals, these would work better paired with another set of monitors or with a sub to increase bass clarity however this is not the main demographic this deal is targeted at.

The newly designed bi-amplified drivers and advanced magnetic circuit design have taken this classic to the next level, and Yamaha’s speaker engineering team provide an optimum response in any room or any kind of space. Theredesigned HSmodels feature an advanced Low Resonance bass-reflex enclosure built around a traditional three-way mitered joint technique. This technique, often associated with the most sophisticated architectural design, sees the corners of the speaker very firmly anchored, leading to dramatically improved durability and the elimination of any unwanted resonance that can colour the original sound. If you regularly watch producers doing their thing on YouTube, the chances are you have already seen these monitor speakers.

On your annual claim you will be asked to declare that you have not carried out any prohibited activities. Recommended management Aesthetically, they are nice looking speakers with the (now iconic) white cones, reminiscent of the legendary NS10s (not that looks matter at all!). They also feature protective mesh over the tweeters which, for me is a real bonus. The enclosures are constructed from a specific dense and resiliant MDF with a damped acoustic response perfectly matched to reference monitoring. Drawing from over a century of acoustic piano making, we've employed a traditional 3-way mitered-joint technique. Common to architectural design, this construction firmly anchors the the corners of the enclosure to dramatically improve durability and eliminate unwanted resonance. Wide Range of Applications The second-generation of the Yamaha HS series combines the pristine, high-resolution sound that the monitors are renowned for with an innovative resonance-busting enclosure and upgraded transducers for a smoother response. Compact Monitoring Over many years, Yamaha speakers have built a reputation for being strong and solid. The Yamaha HS5 is no exception, and it is safe to say that this thing is built like a tank. It reduces damage to historic and archaeological features under cultivation by using non-inversion (minimum tillage) machinery and shallower cultivation depths. Where there is uncertainty about whether the aims of the options have been delivered, we will take into account any records or evidence you may have kept demonstrating delivery of the aims of the option. This will include any steps you’ve taken to follow the recommended management set out above. It’s your responsibility to keep such records if you want to rely on these to support your claim.

Well I’m already familiar with the sound of the HS5 as I’ve had a pair in my studio for a while. For this review I took the time to try it out in various other contexts as well. So, let’s take a deep dive into the Yamaha HS5, starting with its look and feel. No details about the routes these new high speed lines could take was announced but APPGI member and long term critic of costs on HS2 Lord Berkley welcomed the proposal. “If the new high speed lines are in the regions and serve the customers' needs, that will be excellent,” he told NCE. “If they are just another route to get more people into the capital, he [Hunt] misunderstands the needs of everyday customers or for levelling up.”

The beefy magnets on the HS5 are there to help produce a tight and versatile controlled flux field over a wide frequency range. The Yamaha HS5s feature a rear switch for Room control and High Trim response. Depending on the size and shape of your room, you can cut the low frequency response by -2dB or -4dB, further helping to eliminate unwanted 'boom' and resonance in smaller room setups. The High Trim allows you to Boost or Cut the high frequencies at 2kHz to compensate. Key Features:

Speaking at an All Party Parliamentary Group on Infrastructure (APPGI) reception at the ICE this week, Hunt said: “I really want to have HS3, HS4 and HS5. We have got to have much better connectivity.” An extremely efficient 1" dome tweeter extends the Yamaha HS5 powered monitor's frequency range while delivering incredible high-resolution sound. HS Series cabinets are designed to eliminate unwanted resonance and increase the accuracy of sound reproduction to their extreme limit. The enclosures are constructed from a very dense and resilient MDF with a damped acoustic response that is perfectly suited for reference monitors. Drawing from Yamaha's over 100 years of piano design experience, HS Series engineers also employed a traditional three-way mitered-joint technique. Common to architectural design this construction firmly anchors the corners of the enclosure to dramatically improve durability and eliminate unwanted resonance that can influence overall sound.
