I still love and wear this now but mostly in body spray and scented wipe form rather than the actual cologne.Every wipe has the aromatheraputic re-energising effect, with the scent of lemon, lavander and neroli. There are many possible applications: dabbed on the forehead, temples, the crooks of the arms, or the wrists; a couple of drops dispersed in water, sprinkled on the pillow, or simply rubbed into the body. I also kind of like that it’s longevity is nonexistent; that means that you can spray it 15 times on your body, experiencing 20 seconds of pure bliss and then smelling it fade away in the following 20 minutes.

I don't think I'd ever consider it a "signature scent" for myself, but I could see it becoming more of a grooming staple during the summer months when I need a break from all the incense, amber, cashmere, and woods in my typical favourites.The fragrance evokes feelings of elegance, sophistication, and a touch of nostalgia, making it a timeless choice for any occasion. Always thought the citrus opening was the best thing about this fragrance, but the juniper/lavender combo was reminiscent of an air freshener. Reminds me of times gone by I grew up with this fragrance as my mother used to wear it; apparently it is back in vogue as a lightweight cologne to wear during the day. The formula of 4711 Echt Kölnisch Wasser is still appreciated across the globe to this day and makes the aqua mirabilis an absolute classic without comparison.

Useless as a scent as many intend it today (super projection, everlasting longevity, possibly choking everyone else in the room), the original 4711 is a wonderful fabric scent, or a superb olfactory comfort when you need to smell something nice, clean and invigorating. The problem is, of course, performance: this magnificent fragrance lasts for merely 5-10 minutes on my skin, and then it's gone with the wind. I use the pure one rather exceptionally, usually in combination with something stronger or straight some Colonia from AdP.mind, this looks as if it could be a 300ml bottle of Gin, or some other aromatic distilled spirit, such is the packaging, appearance and scent! This is as timeless as a timeless fragrance can ever get, I mean its been mass produced and widely purchased by countless people for almost a quarter of a millennia. This unique scent is equally suited to either male or female wearers and its light, fresh citrus notes awaken the senses. It's cheap enough to not worry about wasting any, and even with doing this daily, the bottle lasted me nearly a year.
