I also quite liked the aesthetic the author was going for here (dark academia + magic is always a great combo! The pacing might not be smooth but the poetic writing of the ambiguity surrounding Delaney’s (dis)ability is what pulled me in.They wanted to open Pandora’s box, peek in at what lay inside, and then close it back up, quick, once they beheld the ugly truth of what they sought. This is a tale full of mystery and murder, perfect for both Dark Academia fans and those who enjoy supernatural spookiness! I absolutely loved the main character who is deaf and feels like she never belongs and Colton who is so intense and full of secrets!
