The shoes date (I think) from 1976 and were a rare offshoot of the classic City Series, the name coming from the bold red upper of course. This reissue is said to be a faithful one to one copy of the original (and heavily sought after) trainer, with bovine suede uppers in the red, premium leather detailing in bluer and of course, a gum sole and Adidas branding. In contrast to some of Adidas' other best-selling trainers such as the Gazelle and the Spezial, the range is more limited. Nonetheless the designs are indisputably very eye-catching with each one consisting of at least 3 different colours spread around the shoe. Other than the famous stripes, branding consists of the Adidas Trefoil which appears on the upper part of the heel in embossed form and on the tongue, whilst the brand name is also embossed lower down on the heel. More practical features include an extra strong toe to protect from injury and an injected EVA midsole which provides extra cushioning for the bottom of the foot. Further support comes from a padded ankle and tongue. The sole is also raised slightly at the front, which together with the EVA midsole, ensures a natural movement of the foot whilst in motion, making it suitable for both casual street wear and gentle sporting activities such as jogging. ZX 750 Prices The Adidas ZX 750 trainers hail from their famous Originals range and are the successor to the ZX 700 models, first released in 1980. Unsurprisingly, these trainers retain the same retro look but boast a few additional modern features. The sporty yet rugged appearance makes for footwear suitable for certain sporting activities but, above all, they are perfect for a casual street appearance. Features & Design A suede leather upper with reflective detail gives the shoes the classic look for which Adidas are well known, whilst mesh is used in abundance, both in the lining and in certain sections of the outer part. This ensures the shoes are pleasantly breathable. The soles meanwhile are comprised of rubber, set out in a wave pattern, which aids tread, especially on slippery surfaces. Practical Features
