tl;dr: circadian clock stuff is good, backing of the theory is bit dubious and the part on nutrition and some things on exercise are oversimplified / unproven / inaccurate. So you are telling me there is way of life where I can eat whatever I like and be healthier than ever?

Once we have a strong foundation then everything else we do will have way more chance of working better! We alter our circadian clocks by eating too often - and eating within 3 hours of bed is particularly problematic.

The author proposes a reduced window of 8h during which you can eat whatever you want (drinking water is fine). And in a way, this makes it an important book, as this is the first one to summarize all the findings regarding circadian clocks (up to this point) in a way, that allows you to get an overview without having to sift through all the relevant papers yourself.
